I started doing Yoga 20 years ago after my second son was born to find release from stress and I found a new way of life, I loved it so much that I wanted to teach the whole world. After receiving my certifications threw YogaFit and Loyola Marymount University, I studied under Dr. Yoga Shwari Laura Cornell. I then completed

🍁Happy September! ☀️As Summer comes to an end we are shifting in to some fall like weather.
🍁So let’s be open to what September will bring. Looking forward to cooler mornings, homemade meals, snuggling with a warm blanket and pumpkins.

🍂We find that our yoga practice changes a little bit in the fall. Same with our meditation practice. Being open to what is offered. Going with the flow.

🍄‍🟫I look forward to cooler nights , sweaters and homemade soup.

🌟That is a powerful statement.
I think we all want all things to work out. Isn’t that what makes us happy? So do we trust the universe will provide this “happily ever after”?

💡What a great way to challenge the mind. When we are caught up in our heads about many things, sometimes we play out the future and what that can look like. We get caught up thinking that I’m not good enough for things to just work out. Then you go down a path of worries, insecurities and doubt. Instead of thinking things will work out, you think of a million reasons why they won’t.
If you could pause and recognize the spiral thinking path, you could try and practice being present and control the thoughts in the mind. By becoming aware of your breath and following the breath path, you are being present.

🍄When we practice Yoga we unite the breath with mind and body. The mind can be tamed and release what is not wanted or just taking up space. With this mind set of everything will work out, you are changing the outcome of your thoughts. You are staying in the present moment.

🌼When meditating you can visualize what the future holds. You can see your dreams turn to reality. When we can harness the chatter of the mind we have room for the positivity to flow in.

🧘🏼I think people are fascinating. We are all unique in every way. I love when you get to converse with people and learn about them and what they are passionate about. Having that human connection is so important to our hearts and souls. We can learn so much from each other. We also can vibe with each other and attract others on the same wavelength.
And sometimes we are challenged by people which we also learn from.

🧘🏼‍♀️When practicing Yoga or Meditation we are tapping in to the wonder of self. Here we feel safe and comfortable to be authentic with self. We let go of stress and tension. We become open and present.

In the line of work that I do, I am so blessed to be able to meet so many people and connect with.💕

☀️Something so simple can carry you through the day and will continue to manifest all around you. Being grateful at the start of your day will set you up for a great day regardless of what life presents. Feeling grateful is the same as feeling loved. Why not be grateful for each breath you get to take through out the day. We get a whole day to do what makes us feel happy and loved.

☀️When I step on my mat or sit on my meditation cushion I am cultivating gratitude. While I practice I can let go of what is no longer serving me and make room for all to be grateful for. Sometimes when life is busy we tend to come away from practicing gratitude and we start to notice a difference.

Even if you just wake up and say just one thing you are grateful for you will change the day in favor of you.

☀️Daily affirmations are the support we need to get through those challenges in every day life.

That seems simple enough, won’t you join me, what are you grateful for?

🐦‍⬛This morning I am grateful for waking up to the cool breeze coming through my windows and the soft, gentle sounds of the birds singing and the smell of fresh brewed coffee coming from the Kitchen.

☀️Life is full of love and happiness and so much to be grateful for.

🙏🏼Begin each day with an “I get to” mentality instead of a “I have to” thought process….
I get to go to work. I get to include myself in a busy day. Whatever it may be. We often dress our opportunities as stress, but they are in fact blessings.

🔺Sometimes I feel like we are conditioned to complain or bitch about how bad things are. You know, you have that one friend who is always negative and loves to complain and you find yourself doing the same thing. Being negative is contagious but so is being positive.
🔺Being positive is so simple to do. You just change the wording and it turns out a blessing. Of course you have to believe what you are saying. But like any practice it takes time to perfect and the more we practice being grateful for our blessings than we notice so much more.
🔺Okay let’s practice this today!

It’s so empowering to say “This isn’t serving me “ and walk away. -unknown

I wish we knew this when we were kids. I feel like a lot of things could have been avoided, mean words, bullying, harassing, physical altercation. I know as kids we have to learn hard lessons. I think if we were able to walk away from any conflict it would become service to self. And we know how good it makes us feel when we serve others.

💥Being able to walk away is choosing you, choosing to be stress free. Sometimes we aren’t aware of all the input we are getting all around us. Being able to choose what you want to engage with is freedom. It feels good to choose.

⚡️I know some of us can be stubborn and want to be right all the time. And sometimes we engage with those conflicts because we want to be right!
That puts so much stress on the body physically, mentally and emotionally.

🧘🏼‍♂️When you come to your mat you have that freedom to do what serves you and let go of what doesn’t. Practicing letting go can be therapeutic and helpful when you are ready to walk away! Take your power back!

Self Love ❤️
“Often we are reluctant to promote self-love mostly because we confuse it with selfishness. Since we are humans, we ought to have a healthy love for ourselves, it is from this fount that love flows out to others.” - Mason Olds

🪷Coming to your mat or seat you start the practice of self-love. As you move with breath you are presently, actively loving self. Connection with mind, body and soul. Meditation helps to let go of any thoughts or emotions that no longer sever, allowing us to clear the mind. Using a mantra or affirmations during practice helps to stay present as you self-love. We are attending to our needs and wants consciously.

“If it doesn’t bring you love, peace or positive energy, stop engaging with it. Simple as that.”
Sure that seems easy enough.
But to intentionally do that is another.
Of course we always want to be at peace,loved and to have positive energy but that isn’t realistic. We also go through hate, war, and have negative energy. All of those are an important part of our journey.
However we get to choose and change the way we feel and how we respond.

Practicing Yoga and Meditation is where we work on choosing how we feel and how we react. Yoga and Meditation really allows us to be present and to be with our heart, to be with our mind and to be with our breath.

When we step off our mats and carry on with what is next, we have a lovely opportunity to choose how we flow in and out of our paths. And not having to engage with what no longer serves us.

H.O.P.E. Have Only Positive Expectations🌈

🔆Hope is that feeling of trust, trust that all will work out the way it is supposed to. When we hope for something or for someone we are setting positive intentions and putting it out into the universe.

🧘🏼When we practice Yoga or Meditation we set our intentions. We trust in ourselves and connect.

🏠I have been hoping for something to happen for a long time and I am so close to making it happen. I trust and hope all will work in my favor. I’m trying not to stress or worry because that takes away for the positivity. I took Wendy’s Yoga Nidra class today and was able to release and let go. I am looking forward to what my path will look like moving forward. I am hoping and trusting and surrendering.
