Stockton Forum
A Forum exploring issues, concerns and unanswered questions facing the Stockton Community.
ITS GETTING REAL - In an apparent attempt at damage control, Stockton’s duo of misinformation are desperately trying to hold off a civil lawsuit that threatens to expose the financial dealings of their 209 Times organization: and a state investigation into political consulting agencies operated by it’s founder, Patrick (Motec) Sanchez. Questions regarding methods the origination may have used to pay employees and overseas transactions have been raised. Stockton Forum spoke with Mr. Gayaldo regarding his business relation with Mr. Sanchez, and any questionable transactions that may have occurred between the two. Frank abruptly ended the conversation proclaiming allegations of wrong doing were “blatantly false”.
HOW MUCH IS THAT DOGGY IN THE WINDOW? - One bright spot in the scathing Grand Jury report is news of quality grooming services available in Stockton and the San Joaquin County. Essential to such services are dedicated professionals known as groomers, who possess the expertise and skills to ensure your pet not only looks presentable, but dutifully obeys every command he or she is given! “Who's a Good Boy?” Take your pick.

FOLLOW THE MONEY - The operative word in every 209 Times hit-piece is “alleged”. To give the illusion of legitimacy to their fabricated claims, complaints are filed against targeted individuals either by Patrick (Motec) Sanchez, or his business associate Frank Gayaldo. Such attacks are designed to slander anyone who interferes with what many believe is their goal to gain control over government boards and funding. A state investigation has been opened on donor/cash flow into Mr. Sanchez’s political consultant agencies. It is not known whether this will include financial transactions between Mr. Sanchez and Mr. Gayaldo, and/or members of what they call their “209 Times Crew”. Stockton Forum will continue to follow this story as it develops.
FROM THE MOUTH OF BABES - During a recent city council meeting, district candidate and motec-mouthpiece Jason Lee took a page right out of the 209 Times play book. Questioning city spending, he callously dismissed Stockton residents seeking recreational amenities, chided council members for using cell phones, attacked the Stockton Record as a horrible paper, blamed violent crime on everything but the crippling poverty that grips the community, and predictably — called for the ouster of City Manager Harry Black.
Leaving town, Lee promoted his performance on his Hollywood Unlock media site. It was also posted on the 209 Times website where legally embattled Patirick (Motec) Sanchez used it to attack critics such as SUSD trustee Angelann Flores, political activist David Sengthay and council members Michael Blower and Brando Villapudua. Surprisingly no mention was made of Mayor Michael Tubbs!
209 TIMES FOUNDER DEMANDS INVESTIGATION INTO GOVERNOR'S CAMPAIGN FUNDING — In an apparent attempt to distract from the state's investigation into his own campaign practices, Patrick (Motec) Sanchez alleged that Governor Newsom violated campaign funding laws. The Fair Political Practices Commission is seeking Sanchez’ 460 forms which list cash flow into his political consulting agencies. When asked for a comment, Governor Newsom reportedly asked, “What the hell is a Motec?”
MIRROR, MIRROR ON THE WALL - The American Psychological Association (APA) defines “selfitis” as “the obsessive-compulsive desire to take photos of one's self and post them on social media as a way to make up for the lack of self-esteem and to fill a gap in intimacy.” Commonly found among pre-teen girls, the excessive focus on one's own appearance often leads to unhealthy levels of self-absorption (Must be a pretty big hole)!
FEELING THE HEAT - Attempting to distance himself from mounting questions regarding his activities as an SUSD Director, and the illegal acquisition of SUSD’s air purification system, 209 Times founder Motecuzoma Patrick Sanchez declares “war” on State Assembly Member Carlos Villapudua, as he continues his attack against countless other public officials and Stockton residents his misinformation site has targeted. Get Out The Pop Corn Kids, This is Getting Good!
STOCKTON’S “BIGGEST THREAT” GOES GOLFING - Questions persist around the business transactions and political dealings of 209 Times founder, Motecuzoma Patrick Sanchez, Frank Gayaldo and members of their “209 Times crew.” Along with violations of the Brown Act and the illegal acquisition of SUSD’s air purification system, concerns center around alleged pay-to-play schemes, and conflicts of interest involving their political consulting business and the running of a media attack machine.
Added to these concerns is the site’s practice of community censorship — silencing the public through online doxing and economic targeting (a Gayaldo specialty), and in the case of a local bank Vice President, physical violence. If as Sanchez claims he is engaging in an “Information War” — then Stockton is ground zero and her residents the casualties.
SANCHEZ DID HIMSELF NO FAVOR — Obsessed with the success of Michael Tubbs and continuing his attack against City Manager Harry Black, embattled 209 Times founder Motecuzoma Patrick Sanchez spent the afternoon dodging softball questions posed to him by members of the Stockton Lions Club. In Trump like fashion he denounced the grand jury report as a "hit job", minimized recent violations of the Brown Act, and glossed over concerns he and other 209 Times representatives illegally profited off of the purchase of an air filtration system for SUSD. Declaring his misinformation site the 'voice of the community,' he justified silencing (blocking) those within the community who disagree with him. Demonizing them as members of "the cabal", he cynically marginalized his censorship of the public as canceling “free subscription(s)”.
SANCHEZ SCHEDULED TO SPEAK AT STOCKTON LIONS CLUB GATHERING - Hot on the heels of a scathing Grand Jury report, and a state investigation into the business practices of his misinformation site, the Stockton Lions Club has inexplicably invited the legally embattled founder of 209 Times, Motecuzoma Patrick Sanchez to speak at their next gathering. There is no indication what he will, or legally can speak about. The meeting will be held at Buds Seafood Grill — Tuesday at 12pm.
209 TIMES FOUNDER MOTECUZOMA PATRICK SANCHEZ UNDER STATE INVESTIGATION! Charged with keeping elections honest, the Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) has requested copies of Sanchez’ 460s, the form documenting a campaign’s donors and cash flow. Along with running a disinformation site, Sanchez operates two political consultancies; he ran unsuccessfully for numerous offices; and was a director at Stockton Unified where he received numerous gifts he was legally obligated to report on Form 700s. Associate Frank Gayaldo declined our request for a comment.
A CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER! Concluding that "efficient and ethical governing" in Stockton is "under attack, a San Joaquin County grand jury report singled out the social media site 209 Times for spreading misinformation and engaging in "continued harassment and bullying" that have affected "every level of city government.” Echoing the pledge of fellow operative Frank Gayaldo, Motecuzoma Patrick Sanchez defiantly declared he and his organization “will continue their attacks (see attached: https://www.newsbreak.com/share/3492283474789-stockton-harassed-threatened-bullied-afraid-civil-grand-jury-outlines-massive-dysfunction-in-city-hall?s=a7&pd=0ByAcH6v&hl=en_US&send_time=1718408685&actBtn=feedbackShareButton&_f=app_share&trans_data=%7B%22platform%22%3A1%2C%22cv%22%3A%2224.23.0%22%2C%22languages%22%3A%22en%22%7D&sep=android_share_dialog_reorder-v2
209 TIMES BREAKS ITS SILENCE! Frank Gayaldo responds to charges that employees at Stockton City Hall have been harassed, threatened and intimidated by associates of 209 Times, and that some members on the city council have enabled such conduct.
With news of Donald Trump's conviction, 209 Times founder Motecuzoma Patrick Sanchez made his political loyalty clear. Alleging Hillary Clinton and former Presidents were “unprosecuted (sic) for several crimes”, he celebrated the idea of Trump beating “Genocide Joe” and “running the country from a prison cell like Al Capone.” Considering that he is facing an ongoing federal investigation over missing/misused SUSD funding, Mr. Sanchez's wishful thinking actually makes sense.

When a District Attorney refuses to respond to public concerns over his arrest of the loan school official, who after calling attention to wide spread district corruption, was charged with fraud over district approved credit card charges — THE MESSAGE COULD NOT BE CLEARER! SPEAK UP AND SEE WHAT WE FIND ON YOU!
Responding to public concern over his investigation and arrest of SUSD Trustee AngleAnn Flores, San Joaquin County Sheriff Patrick Withrow informed reporters that based on information his office was “given” he found no other evidence of wrong doing. With millions of district funds still missing, Withrow’s response raises questions as to why he limited the scope of his investigation to Trustee Flores. ‘They broke the law more then I did’ he reasoned was no defense. If that is the case, then who is the “they” Sheriff Withrow is referring to?
209 TIMES FOUNDERS SUED - Facing criminal assault charges and a federal investigation exploring his potential role in misused and missing SUSD funds, 209 Times founder Motecuzoma Patrick Sanchez's week just got worse. Along with associate Frank Gayaldo, Mr. Sanchez was named in a lawsuit filed by a former 209 Times employee alleging defamation of character and the refusal to pay wages. For two men who routinely threaten lawsuits to silence their critics, this is an interesting turn of events.
One year ago, San Joaquin County District Attorney Ron Freitas announced his office would hold accountable all those guilty of wrongdoing at Stockton Unified. Today he responded to growing public concern! He dawned a large blue foam finger and took a photograph with the "King of Selfies" -- Kevin Lincoln.
EDITORIAL OPINION: It is not hard to draw a direct line from Trustee Flores exposing the mismanagement and possible theft of district funds, to her arrest by two elected officials who owe their appointments to a social media site that has relentlessly attack Ms. Flores since she first served on the board. District Attorney Ron Freitas Needs to Repond to Public Concerns Over the Integrity of his Own Office.
With arrest of school board member, more mystery shrouds Stockton Unified investigation A year has passed since San Joaquin County District Attorney Ron Freitas announced that his office was looking into alleged financial crimes at Stockton Unified.
The highly publicized arrest of Trustee AngelAnn Flores by the District Attorney’s Office raises very troubling questions. Aside from the meritless charges filed against Ms. Flores, other board members with larger and more questionable district expenditures were not investigated. District Attorney Freitas's preoccupation with credit card transactions does not address the millions of federal funds that have been misused by the district, or are still missing. The residents of Stockton and San Joaquin county have a right to know if their District Attorney is acting in their best interest, or is actively shielding the real criminals who committed fraud on the backs of their children. We’re Waiting for an Answer Don!
While Stockton Forum is dedicated to providing a platform to explore issues, concerns and questions facing the Stockton Community — there are events which require a stand be taken. Today's very public arrest of SUSD Trustee AngleAnn Flores is just such an event. SUSD is under investigations for millions of missing/misappropriated federal funds. That a camera filmed the arrest of the district’s loudest whistle blower, by a District Attorney with questionable connections, should alarm all residents of Stockton and the San Joaquin valley.
The following is a response from Ms. Flores Attorney, Tori Verber Salazar:
Make no mistake. AngelAnn Flores is the victim of political retaliation and is paying the price for raising her voice to fight corruption and for the well-being of Stockton Unified students. Over the past several years, while millions of dollars and fraudulent practices have occurred in connection with the School District, AngelAnn has been working with Federal Investigators to prosecute those who are responsible. For her courage, she has been harassed and bullied by a local social media group's hand-picked elected officials.
On November 14, 2023, AngelAnn's home was wrongfully raided by local law enforcement after members of the district attorney's office intentionally violated a court order. This was clear retaliation, and this past week, we filed an action in court against those responsible for violating her civil rights.
Just last week, Ms. Flores served her notices of claims under the California Tort Claims Act against the San Joaquin DA, Sheriff, and SUSD, signaling her intention to sue these authorities for their unlawful actions.
So, it is not surprising that today, with a camera crew following along, local law enforcement made a very public display of the arrest of a person who has dedicated her life to helping this community. AngelAnn would have voluntarily surrendered to local law enforcement. She has no prior history, no weapons were taken from her home, and she has been a model citizen who has fully cooperated with the Sheriff's Office. This public display is nothing more than retaliation for her courage to stand up to corruption.
The arrest was meant to be purposely high-profile in public without warning on a Friday with disproportionately high bail of $175,000 when law enforcement knew she would be unable to have a hearing until after the weekend. This was a cynical and retaliatory action by the DA and law enforcement in response to Ms. Flores’ lawful use of every citizen’s right to hold their government authorities accountable through her reporting of abuse under the Tort Claims Act.

“I’m a kind and peaceful man” asserted 209 Times founder Motecuzoma Patrick Sanchez after violently assaulting BAC Community Bank President Eddie Lira. Mr. Sanchez claims he felt physically threatened when Mr. Lira approached him at a gathering of community leaders. Lira argues it was Sanchez and four others who converged on his table after he commented that Sanchez “acted like a thug.” Exclaiming “....he was too close to me", Sanchez reportedly hit Lira several times, knocking him to the floor. A criminal complaint of assault filed against Sanchez is currently being reviewed by local law enforcement.
What can be said about rightwing mudslinger Motecuzoma Patrick Sanchez that the public has not already said before? Racist, sexist, homophobic, deadbeat dad….He appears impervious to such criticism. At times even relishing in it. But one question remains unanswered — What’s up with ci**rs?
What does Donald J.Trump and Motecuzoma Patrick Sanchez have in common? Based on their responses to news agencies — quite a lot! Their similarities were on full display with Sanchez's resignation from Stockton’s charter review commission, seconds before a vote was taken for his certain removal. The public have largely rejected his reasons for not facing the city council. This in turn has generated speculation regarding what might have been made public had the vote been taken. Like Trump, Sanchez is a public figure whose actions have alarmed the public. Questions persist regarding past business transactions and the true nature of his military discharge. Such speculation could easily be addressed. Sanchez has his own version of “Truth Social” to make such records public, and put to rest once-and-for-all the public’s concerns. Why he doesn't only he can answer.
PUBLIC FIGURES THREATS OF LAWSUITS - Some politicians and public figures have a curious reaction to questions they do not want to answer — they threaten to sue on the basis of “defamation and/or slander.”
Such threats are in large part meaningless. While private citizens must show a person acted negligently, public figures must prove a statement was made with “actual malice” -- a much higher burden of proof. Even statements of opinion, or those which do not contain objectively verifiable facts are not actionable. Protected under the first amendment, the courts view such discourse as in the public's best interest. Society would suffer if politicians could prevent disclosure of corruption by threatening a defamation lawsuit.
While media sites such as 209 Times weaponized their attacks against elected officials and private citizens, Stockton Forum strives to raise meaningful and thoughtful questions for public consideration and discussion. When public figures react to such questions with threats of lawsuits, that is the time for the public to take notice.
MEET JASON LEE - Founder of “Hollywood Unlocked” and host of one of the most successful talk shows on YouTube, Jason Lee is a true Stockton success story. On the heals of the city denying his request of $1 million to develop his “I Am Ready” youth initiative, Mr. Lee announced his decision to run for District 6 City Council. New to the political arena, concerns have surfaced regarding alliances that have formed around his campaign, and questions regarding a Hollywood lifestyle that Stockton residents may not accept.
