• Berta began her practice in weight loss and nutritional counseling over 7 years ago and has counseled 100’s of men and woman in not only how to lose weight but how to keep it off by bringing the body into a natural state of balance, where it is finally feasible to maintain both weight and health forever.
• Berta is a certified Reiki Master in both the Usui and Karuna systems of Universal

Hands on Energy Healing. She has worked with 1000’s of men, woman, and children for over 20 years in both educating and helping the overall balance of their bodies through energy work and intuitive healing. Certified from Body Ecology, Angelic healing touch center, and the International Center for Reiki training.
• She is also a non-denominational interfaith Minister in the of the Order of Melchizedek. Using her spiritual counseling to link the body, mind, and spirit to every possible physical, mental, and emotional, imbalance to help create a state of balance and peace within an individual.
• Berta is also a certified and licensed Yoga instructor in the state of CT. She has been teaching and practicing daily for the over 10 years.
• Berta has is a certified Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist from the Kripalu Institute of Yoga, she has been in practice for over 10 years.
• Berta has also studied extensively in the art of Shamanic healing, drumming, soul retrievals, and divination.
• Berta is also a certified Hypnotherapist from the Esprit hypnosis and Counseling Center of New York, directed by Robert Johnson, D.D., Phd. I feel that the combination of all of my years in the “holistic” practices, have given me the basis for my entire practice. I have stated above the different certifications and teachings that I have acquired over the years but the lesson that is more valuable to me then any other is the that of my own life experience. I find that by actually having lived it, meaning the both the unexpected weight gain as well as the inability to lose it, then going through many different levels of learning and understanding why I was mistreating my self and body as I was by binging to starvation. The tools I learned on my journey have helped me help other men and woman not only lose their excess weight but then remain in balance with their bodies, mind, and emotions. I believe there is only one real way to lose weight and sustain health and happiness, I teach how not only anyone can achieve that once they understand what their bodies are telling them and what their minds are rebelling against, and to finally bring some balance into their lives to achieve and maintain their goals like no other “diet plan” ever before. Because this is not a diet, it is a way of life. My big Aha moment came years ago after struggling with my weight and trying every known diet, and ultimately choosing starvation and excessive exercise. I knew that this was not going to last for ever, since I had hopes of having children and I at least knew enough that what I was doing was very unhealthy and I would not subject my children to that kind of self abuse and malnutrition. So, I got married, pregnant and FAT! The worst was with my second son, going from a starved 115 pounds to over 190 at his birth! What I learned after giving birth to my children was the basis of my entire practice. I realized that I loved my children more than myself, and for them and for the breast milk that I was feeding them I needed to be as healthy as possible. I started to never skip a meal and I ate three healthy, nutritious meals a day. Before I could even notice, I weighed 110lbs! I had not been 110 while eating since my earlier high school days. How did it happen? Could it have really been that easy all the time? So, I started to listen to my body and I started to experiment and read and slowly but surely it all came together making more sense than anything I have ever seen. After applying these newly found ideas on myself after my 3rd son, and dropped another 70lbs in 6 months, while breast feeding, I became confident that I had something to share. I did that over 7 years ago with my closest friend and now partner, Ann Jackson, helping her lose over 100lbs!! A goal that she thought was impossible to have ever achieved, being overweight the majority of her adult life. From there it was one woman after another, it works, simple and easy, it works, to the point that my practice has become so full that I have begun to explore other options to get this simple but effective way of eating and losing and remaining balanced and at peace. I have heard it over and over again from men and women of all ages, “ I have never heard it said that way before” and “that makes so much sense, it seems almost too simple”. I have ever since continued to build this practice, of which I am proud and very passionate about. I have been able to help woman that had given up on losing weight, not only achieve their goals but maintain them, giving them back there healthy bodies, their minds, and their lives, not to mention the confidence that it will never happen again. Berta has become an expert for woman that have given up losing weight.
