We love receiving 5 star reviews from our patients. There is nothing better than seeing our patients happy and healed, knowing we improved their physical wellbeing.
"I hurt my lower back & had severe spasms to the point that I couldn’t stand up & in a lot of pain. I Called the office & Yvette was able to get me in to see Bryan the following day.
What can I say, Bryan is the best, he has technics & works on my lower back & stretches my legs. After a few treatments, I started feeling better already. But I continued few more sessions & after a month finally I’m back to normal. I’ve had this same issue in the past & I’ve reached out to see Bryan again. I highly recommend Bryan & his wonderful staff." Ani K.

Understanding Hip Arthritis:
At its essence, hip arthritis embodies a progressive degeneration of the hip joint, characterized by the erosion of articular cartilage, bony changes, and the insidious infiltration of inflammation. This relentless onslaught engenders pain, stiffness, and functional impairment, usurping the vitality and autonomy of those ensnared within its grasp. Whether stemming from wear and tear associated with aging (osteoarthritis) or precipitated by inflammatory cascades (such as rheumatoid arthritis), hip arthritis exacts a toll that transcends mere physical discomfort, permeating the fabric of daily existence and reshaping the contours of one's reality. At Oceanside Physical Therapy, we can be your partner to a path of healing and recovery - schedule your new patient exam today with Bryan Graham to learn more.

Femoral impingement, a condition often misunderstood and underestimated, is a complex orthopedic ailment that affects a significant portion of the population worldwide. Its impact reverberates through the lives of individuals, disrupting daily activities, limiting mobility, and causing persistent discomfort. Yet, despite its prevalence and repercussions, femoral impingement remains a topic often relegated to the sidelines of medical discourse.
Understanding Femoral Impingement:
At its core, femoral impingement involves an abnormal interaction between the femoral head and the acetabulum, the ball-and-socket joint of the hip. This interaction, characterized by repetitive friction and compression, leads to structural damage, inflammation, and pain. Typically categorized into cam, pincer, or mixed morphology, femoral impingement arises from various anatomical irregularities, such as excess bone growth, acetabular overcoverage, or alterations in hip joint biomechanics.

What is Physical Therapy?
Physical therapy serves as a beacon of hope and healing, embodying the essence of resilience and restoration. It's a holistic approach to healthcare, focused not just on treating symptoms, but on nurturing the body, mind, and spirit back to optimal health. Through a blend of personalized exercises, hands-on techniques, and cutting-edge modalities, physical therapists guide individuals on a journey of recovery, empowering them to regain mobility, strength, and independence. Whether it's rehabilitating from injury, managing chronic conditions, or enhancing performance, physical therapy embraces the intricate connection between movement and well-being. It's a partnership between therapist and patient, built on trust, compassion, and a shared commitment to overcoming obstacles and achieving transformative outcomes. In essence, physical therapy is not just about restoring function; it's about igniting the spark of resilience within each individual, helping them rewrite their story of triumph over adversity.

Adolescence is a pivotal time for identity formation and social integration, and the inability to participate fully in sporting activities can foster feelings of isolation and frustration. Moreover, the fear of falling behind peers in skill development or missing out on crucial opportunities for advancement can compound the emotional strain.
Navigating Osgood-Schlatter disease demands a multidimensional approach. Rest and modified activity are paramount to alleviate symptoms and prevent exacerbation of the condition. Physical therapy focused on strengthening the surrounding muscles and improving flexibility can also mitigate discomfort and facilitate a smoother recovery. In severe cases where conservative measures prove inadequate, medical intervention such as bracing or, in rare instances, surgical options may be considered.
Yet, amidst the challenges posed by Osgood-Schlatter disease, there exists a silver lining – an opportunity for growth, resilience, and self-discovery. For adolescent athletes, sidelined by injury, this period of enforced rest can serve as a crucible for mental fortitude and introspection. It provides an opportunity to cultivate a deeper understanding of their bodies, honing skills in areas such as nutrition, mental conditioning, and injury prevention that are often overlooked in the pursuit of athletic prowess.
Understanding Osgood-Schlatter disease. Named after the physicians Robert Osgood and Carl Schlatter who first described it in the early 20th century, Osgood-Schlatter disease manifests as a painful bump just below the knee, where the patellar tendon attaches to the shinbone. It primarily afflicts adolescents during their growth spurts, particularly those engaged in sports requiring repetitive knee movements like running, jumping, and kicking. This demographic vulnerability stems from the fact that during periods of rapid growth, muscles, tendons, and bones struggle to maintain synchrony, leading to increased tension on the growth plate.
The symptoms of Osgood-Schlatter disease are unmistakable: localized pain and swelling around the knee, exacerbated by physical activity and often accompanied by a noticeable bump or lump. For aspiring athletes, accustomed to pushing their bodies to the limit, these symptoms can be disheartening, disrupting their training routines and casting doubts on their abilities.
