Hey all, it’s Pam with Project Alley Cat. As you know I’m pretty much a one-man show except for my handful of dedicated fosters. I keep my numbers low and tight. I manage the flow so that I don’t burn my fosters out, and we can always find quick homes for our kitties.
The rescue world recently lost a young, strong advocate and let me tell you, compassion fatigue is real. It’ll keep you up at night. It’ll keep you worrying. It’ll make you sick to your stomach and it’ll make you cry like a two-year-old.

Be gentle with us, if we can help we will. It doesn’t help to give us the subtle threat of, “they’re gonna have to go to the shelter”, or to try to put that burden on us. I’m not gonna let be my karma .

Trust me, I am going to try save every single one I can…
