The word kingdom comes from two words—king and domain. A kingdom is any domain where a king wields influence, rules, and dominates. Every kingdom has a way of life—a culture describing the inhabitants. Jesus came to set up the kingdom of God on the earth and show us how to live the kingdom life here until we dominate this world and its elements and subdue nature.

While Jesus was on the earth, He spoke to water, trees, wind, and all of nature responded to Him and ought to respond to you. The kingdom mandate is real, and it is given to you to exercise. All this is possible and achievable when you become a kingdom addict.

A kingdom addict is one who seeks the manifestation of the kingdom of God in their world. A kingdom is different from a state or country. You never join a kingdom by choice. You are either born into it or adopted by the king into the kingdom.

Live every day with the consciousness that you are not from here. You may look like everybody else, dress like everyone else, but you are not like them. You are different. The easiest way to locate a man’s origin is from his words.

Our kingdom has a language. Learn the language of our kingdom. We do not talk fear, sickness, lack, doubt, unbelief, disappointments, and hate. Our words are seasoned with grace, full of faith, and inspiring. We speak wisdom, prosperity, success, and greatness in Christ.

Let the world find enough evidence to convict you of your kingdom-mindedness. Promote the cause of the kingdom in your world. You came to the kingdom for a time such as this. Be an effective kingdom ambassador. You can.

The biggest tool you have, with which you can win any battle life throws at you, is the name of Jesus. This name is what God and all of Heaven responds to. It is the most important name. On earth, that name can change anything. It is the biggest influence and change agent you can have in your toolkit, with which there is the guarantee to win over circumstances and situations in life.

Satan dreads that name because it reminds him of his defeat and powerlessness over God’s children. Therefore, Satan does not want you to discover the power in the name of Jesus and the fact that you have the right to use it.

This name has been given to you. You are the completeness of His personality, because Jesus is incomplete without mention of the Christ (1 Corinthians 12:27, Colossians 1:18, Ephesians 1:22). The name Christ speaks of Jesus and His Body—the Church—which you are part of.

The name of Jesus has healing power, saving power, miracle working power. This name is also upon you. In the realm of the spirit, when you speak in the name of Jesus, it has as much authority as though Jesus himself is speaking.

Learn to function in that name. Discover the power in the name of Jesus. Do everything in the name of Jesus. Live in the name of Jesus and enjoy a life of all-around success and victory despite opposing circumstances.

When you are on fire for the Lord, you may be called all kinds of names by people who are either carnal or worldly. They may think you are being extreme and taking this thing too far. The tendency sometimes is to want to tone down your excitement and enthusiasm for the things, people, and house of God. Do not do it. Do not give up.

Remember that it is easier to pull someone down than to lift one up. Do not succumb to any voice or suggestion that tends to make you cower down on your faith. The world is proud of its ways of doing things and flaunts all the wrong things at us, attempting to make us accept their ways as normal. However, you must be smart and keep your fire in Christ aglow regardless of the opposition, persecution, or temptations. Flaunt your kingdom values and lifestyle.

Do not give up. You may feel used, abused, relegated, or sidelined because of your faith. When this happens, rejoice because it just means you are fulfilling what Jesus said would happen. Do not respond to their hate with hate, respond to it with the love of Christ that is abounding in your heart by the Holy Spirit.

What we do is not only for this world but the world hereafter—we are looking forward to it. A kingdom where we reign as kings with Christ (Revelation 21). Nothing in this mundane life is worth losing your place in that kingdom for. Do not give up your faith. There is a reward for those who endure till the end, never forget that.

When you were first born again, remember the love of Christ that filled your heart? Remember how you wanted to be around God’s people and how your number one desire was to please God? You were eager to hear the truth and do what the Word said.

You were open to receive information and inspiration at the same time. You wanted to pray, study the Bible, be in church, hear spirit-filled messages, and listen to gospel music. These longings and strong desires ought to be kept alive in your walk in the kingdom every day. Never let these desires die.

The Apostle Paul admonishes us not to quench the Spirit (1 Thessalonians 5:19). This means that it is possible to do so. It is not maturity when you no longer cry in the presence of God during worship in awe of His presence. It is not maturity when you would prefer a quick service so you can say you went to church, yet deep inside, you were bored and uninterested in what happened in the house of God.

These things are signs that your flame is going down, and you need some stirring from within. The quickest way to achieve and maintain your fervency in Christ is to every so often separate yourself from your regular routine and take some time to engage in fasting and praying. Stay away not just from food but from any and everything that feeds your flesh. It could include your phone and television time.

Keep your gaze on the Master and keep your desire and love for Him fresh so you can remain ever inspiring, ready and willing to demonstrate to your world that He is all that truly matters.

God’s intention for us is to look out for His kingdom and live for this cause. A person with kingdom convictions will be known by what they choose as a priority in their life. You must be like the saints in your divine lineage who sought to know nothing other than the kingdom of God and His establishment on the earth.

Abraham looked for a city whose principles of living–their foundation–is God. We are born in that city, because God chose to perfect the saints of old with us, so we need to strive for the faith of the gospel. We need to contend for the faith.

Do not be satisfied if you are the only one who knows Jesus in your family, school, or workplace. Seek to make Him known. Jesus did not die for nothing. He died for everyone in your world, and it is your responsibility to let those you come across know it.

When this becomes the utmost desire of your heart, the Lord himself will begin to connect you with those who are like minded helping you reach your world for Him. He wants all men saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. He saved you so you can in turn help Him save others.

Our scripture uses the word strive which is suggestive of effort. Put effort in the gospel. Put your resources (time and money) into the expansion of the kingdom of God in your world. Let the message be on television, our social media platforms, etc. Be known as one responsible for the spread of the gospel. Be recorded and documented in the kingdom of God as one who enabled the Word to grow and prevail mightily in every place.

One thing you will quickly learn in your faith journey and walk with God is that there is resistance to the will, plans, and purposes of God in your life and on the earth. Many of these resistances will come from external factors you may not be able to control. They could come from men who you may also not have influence over.

All resistance, no matter the shape or form it takes, emanates from one source—Satan. This fallen being has one mission and that is to ensure you fall from grace like he did and will devise several strategies to make that happen.

The best wisdom seen in the theme scripture is to stick with divine counsel and put on the whole armor of God. Notice it says whole, not some. The other verses list the complete regalia you ought to dress yourself with daily. This regalia can all be summed up as the skillful use of the Word of God, both as a defensive and offensive weapon.

Your guarantee of winning battles that life and satanic forces hurl at you is the quality of Word you have deposited in your spirit. Never take your study time lightly. Commit to studying and meditating on the Word of God. Fill your heart with it so much that when pressure of any kind is applied the Word will be what gushes out.

This is your edge and advantage. Remember the written Word is the living Word in your heart, which becomes potent as the spoken word with creative abilities when verbalized through your mouth. Speak the Word. You will win.

You are a vital part of the Body of Christ and are needed for the entire Body to function properly. Never consider yourself insignificant. What can I do? How can I help? are questions that you should ask while trusting the Holy Spirit (who lives and guides you from the inside) to show you how you can supply your part for the increase of the Body of Christ.

Even if you got saved only yesterday, there is something you can give, something you can do, a difference you can make. You are not here to be a consuming child of God, conditioned to only receive and collect from others. Be a producer. Be giving conscious.

You can give a smile, a word of encouragement, your time, your influence, your platform, or your material resources. There are a lot of things you can give to ensure the Body of Christ is increasing where you are. Make Jesus famous. Make His name known.

Never stand by and witness a situation where the truth of God’s Word and His righteousness are scarce. Never stand by in an environment where God’s people are suffering, disadvantaged, and persecuted while you are in a position to change things. Never allow evil to prevail where you are.

Shine your light and encourage the light of others to shine even brighter. When you do your part, (no matter how little or insignificant you consider it to be) and I do mine, the body becomes abundantly supplied and growth becomes easy. We are connected to one another as the Body of Christ. Therefore, as concerned as I am about your growth, you should be so concerned about mine.

One of the notable characteristics of living things is growth. The proof of life is growth. As a child of God, it is important that you make growth a priority in all areas of your life. One way to ensure this happens is learning to live in God’s grace.

A popular definition of grace is unmerited favor. This definition became widespread through a book written by C.H. Spurgeon titled Grace: God’s Unmerited Favor.6 Elwell’s Evangelical Dictionary of Theology7 defines grace as “an undeserved blessing freely bestowed on man by God.” A concept that is at the heart not only of Christian theology but also of genuine Christians.

God expects us to grow in grace (2 Peter 3:18). His intention is to heap favor upon favor in all aspects of your life, even though (humanly speaking) you do not deserve it. Most of God’s children are ignorant of the fact that they can grow, and their growth is not dependent on anyone else.

Grace is the disposition of God in your human spirit—the outworking of a divine power. Grace can be seen by others. You ought to be conscious of it and grow in it. The quickest way to begin to grow in grace is to bury yourself in the Word of God as this is God’s only tool for change. When you behold the Word, a change begins to occur in you even though you may not realize it. You should not remain stagnant if you have the Word in you and put it to work.

Growth in grace also takes place by yielding yourself to prayer, especially praying in the Spirit. It builds you up faster than you can imagine. This was Paul’s secret weapon.

Another sure way to grow in grace is by maintaining the right kind of relationships. Relationships that inspire you in the things of God will surely encourage all-around growth for you. Get to working on your growth and be intentional about it. You can.

Knowing the Holy Spirit is the best thing that can happen to anyone. Working for Him is great, walking with Him is greater, but the greatest of all is partnering with Him in declaring the lordship of Christ in every man’s world.

Jesus calls Him the “Lord of the harvest” for no man can say Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit (Luke 10:2, 1 Corinthians 12:3). As you carry out your missionary work in your school, work, community, and world, you must enter an unbroken partnership with Him. It begins by recognizing that He is the boss in prayer.

When it comes to saving the souls of men, He is more than a friend and father. He is the boss. He is the commander-in-chief with the exact strategy for winning the hearts and minds of the individuals you are trying to reach.

He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He draws people to the cross and quickens their spirit to believe the message. He could lead you to write a book as a tool or write a script as a movie to be produced. It does not matter how He leads. Trust His leadership in the war to enthrone Jesus as Lord in the hearts of men. He can direct funds your way and create opportunities to herald and expand His truth around the world through you.

Can you trust Him to lead you, even when it doesn’t make natural sense? He is Lord, and if you let Him lead, many people in your world will come to Him through you. Let Him and see His glory revealed in you in unprecedented ways.

God had only one child, and when He sent Him into the world, He did not make Him a doctor, teacher, lawyer, politician, or any other noble profession out there in the world. He made His mission known. He came to seek and save that which was lost. His mind was set on His mission. He was a soul winner.

Of the sick people He met, He healed them with the intent to save their lost souls. He fed the hungry with that same intention as well. He was governed, regulated, and guided by His ultimate mission—the salvation of mankind.

As you walk with God, you must be inspired by this kind of mindset. Let His mind be in you. Be on a mission—His mission. There is a reason God allowed and situated you in your vocation and profession. He has His mission in mind.

There are folks who are lost in all sectors of life. You are positioned to effectively reach them if you are missionary-minded. The major reason is that in your particular sector of society, you can speak the language and know the best strategy to reach those in that world.

Use your influence for God. He sent you as His representative or ambassador. Your major function as an ambassador is to grant people access to your territory. They will see you and desire to experience the life, nature, and atmosphere of your territory.

Represent your kingdom well and trust the Holy Spirit to help you reach others. He can.

Today’s verse is very instructive as to how God sees you and how you should see yourself. God does not just call you to work for Him, you are called to work with Him. He is working, and you are working together in a divine partnership. Jesus alluded to this when He said what I see my Father do, that I do (John 5:19-20). He collaborated with God.

In your journey in the kingdom of God, be challenged to not just work for God but to also work with Him. Only take steps He inspires you to take. You will be translated like Enoch, not necessarily out of this physical world, but into a realm where nothing in this world will matter to you (Genesis 5:24). Where you will be able to live above the systems and dictates of the world.

You are called into a creative partnership relationship with your Heavenly Father. You are His very construction—His house. Guess what? He called you to go build Him a house in the hearts of people in your world, and He did not just send you empty. He gave you the very tools and credentials with which you will be able to make it happen. He gave you signs and ability to display wonders through and by His Holy Spirit working in and through you.

Learn to give Him expression. Your body is His physical address here on earth. Say out loud to yourself, “God is at home in the quarters of my being.”

How can you contemplate failure knowing this truth? Impossible! Glory to God.
