West Valley Arts Council (WVAC) cultivates inclusive arts and culture in the West Valley of AZ
We had a full house of students from nearby Ottawa University - Arizona at the Arts HQ Gallery today learning wire sculpture from Gallery Manager and artist Daisy Brady.
Gallery Manager and Curator, Daisy Brady, mentored three art students from Glendale Community College at the Arts HQ Gallery today. The students, Bailey, Karter, and Dominique, earned hands-on experience curating and physically installing the next art exhibit, "AZ Artists' Salon", at the gallery. "Curating over 90 pieces of artwork to flow cohesively in an art show is no small feat," said Daisy. "Under my guidance, the students learned to coordinate colors, themes, dimensions, and balance, and then space, measure, and install the artwork with precision. As student artists themselves, they also gained practical insight into finishing and presenting their artwork for overall presentation, installation, and marketing," added Daisy. The annual exhibit features over 45 local artists in a variety of artwork. Meet the artists and their works when the exhibit officially opens this Friday, September 6th, 5-8pm. The gallery is open Wed-Sat 10am-4pm.
The Arts HQ Gallery was transformed into a picture-perfect wedding venue tonight. Contact [email protected] to rent out the gallery for your next event. Gallery rentals start at $125/hr.

We heart art!
As we dive into a new season of exhibits and performances, it’s time to take a moment and express our gratitude to you for being a great supporter of the arts in the West Valley. Your attendance, your volunteerism, your financial support is what makes the West Valley Arts Council possible. And we continue to need your support!
With your contribution this year, we can continue our decades-long history of providing great arts programs in the West Valley that impact all ages…from elementary school-aged children to one of our most cherished artists that is 101 ½ years old!
Many people know us for the Arts HQ gallery, its rotating exhibits and lunchtime theater programs. But there is so much more to the West Valley Arts Council! The arts education work we do behind the scenes is so gratifying, but does not get enough attention. This is the time to celebrate our successes and let you know why you should continue your support!
