The LiRo-Hill team working on the I-81 Viaduct, Phase 1 Project was all smiles. As part of the Design-Build team with Salt City Constructors, LLC, LiRo-Hill is responsible for Design-Build Quality Control and Construction Inspection services. We will be engaged throughout the entire design-build process, from pre-construction through to final close-out.

We are excited to be part of the groundbreaking ceremony for the $13.5 million People Incorporated Early Education Center in Fall River! As the Owner’s Project Manager, LiRo-Hill is honored to collaborate with People Incorporated and the City of Fall River on this visionary project. When completed in 2025, this state-of-the-art facility of 20,000 sf will serve over 200 infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, playing a crucial role in the community’s early childhood education landscape.
This milestone is a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone involved, and we’re proud to support a project that will create new jobs, foster community partnerships, and contribute to the long-term success of Fall River’s youngest residents.

The LiRo-Hill Mineola office hosted a Food Truck Event for their employees on Tuesday. Staff came together to enjoy a special lunch and savor delicious food while catching up with each other.
The Livingston Avenue project is a joint initiative between the New York State Department of Transportation and the Federal Railroad Administration, with an estimated budget of $634.8 million. This project aims to replace the existing Hudson River railroad bridge by 2028. LiRo Engineers, Inc. is a key member of the expert project team, delivering construction engineering services for the new seven-span, vertical lift railway bridge.

On Thursday, August 1st, United States Congressman Stephen Lynch, State Representative of the Third Plymouth District, Joan Meschino, and Hingham Town Administrator Tom Mayo visited the site of the new Hingham Public Safety Facility (PSF) and were truly impressed by the progress!
This cutting-edge facility will merge the Hingham Police Station and North Fire Station into a modern, three-story, 48,920 sf building that celebrates the town’s industrial and nautical heritage. Designed with a focus on clean energy and featuring a new 2-level parking facility, this project is set to enhance the community’s public safety infrastructure significantly.
LiRo-Hill is honored to oversee and manage this transformative project for the Hingham community. Thanks to the dedicated support of Hingham’s leaders and residents, this facility will significantly improve the town’s safety and services. Construction began in June 2023 and is expected to be completed in early 2025.

LiRo-Hill was thrilled to participate in the official opening ceremony celebrating the completion of upgrades to Austin Steward Plaza, a pivotal achievement within the transformative “ROC The Riverway” initiative in downtown Rochester along the scenic Genesee River. This newly revitalized waterfront space represents the largest state investment of Phase 1 of the initiative, totaling just over $12 million. Formerly known as Charles Carroll Plaza, Mayor Malik Evans announced the city's decision to rename it in honor of Austin Steward, an esteemed author and abolitionist who was Rochester’s first prominent Black business owner. In June, the new Visitor Center at Bayard Cutting Arboretum State Park opened, featuring upgraded parking facilities and enhanced exhibits on Long Island's South Shore. Spanning 1,600 square feet, the center aims to educate visitors about the historic Cutting family, renowned for their 60-room Tudor-style mansion, the meticulously landscaped grounds boasting diverse trees, shrubs, and plants, and the local implications of climate change. Last week, the Amityville and Lindenhurst Stations of the MTA LIRR became fully accessible under the Americans with Disabilities Act. These improvements are part of a larger package that includes upgrades to nine stations, with three completed this year. LiRo-Hill served as the project management consultant for these station upgrades.

LiRo-Hill is honored to receive the American Council of Engineering Companies of New York Engineering Excellence Award, Category Gold for the Pelham Parkway Phase 2 project. The scope of the project involved the upgrade of the vast infrastructure system below ground (4 miles long) while integrating the area's unique landscaping and features above ground along this vital Bronx artery. This project is considered one of the largest infrastructure projects in NYC.
Last month, industry experts, Aditi Patel and Cheryle Cranbourne, delivered a comprehensive presentation to our long-standing client, the New York State Department of Transportation, showcasing LiRo-Hill’s decade-long expertise with Building Information Modeling (BIM) of large-scale transit projects within New York City. Attendance spanned both virtual and in-person, totaling over 50 participants.

Making public transportation more accessible is a crucial step towards creating inclusive communities. The highly anticipated Long Island Railroad Copiague Station has opened after being made fully accessible in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Highlights of this station upgrade include a street-level elevator, accessible entrances/exits, enhancements to parking, electrical and mechanical improvements, new platform tactile strips and communication and safety security systems, better wayfinding, and new LED lighting and Help Points. These enhancements not only benefit individuals with disabilities but also enhances the overall experience for all passengers. The new Abolitionist Place, a 1.15-acre public space in the heart of Downtown Brooklyn, held their grand opening last week bringing green space and community amenities to the area. The new open space includes a children’s play area, lawn, dog run, ornamental plantings, waterplay feature, and multiple seating areas. Planning for the development of Abolitionist Place has been underway by NYCEDC since 2010 and LiRo-Hill is honored to have been part of the remarkable team providing construction management services.
