We are happy to kick off this Monday morning with the exciting news that we are committing an additional $1 million toward the Black Equity & Excellence Fund. Since its inception in 2020, BE&E has distributed 95 grants, totaling more than $1.5 million.
CNY Community Foundation Committing Additional $1 Million to Black Equity & Excellence Initially launched with a $1 million commitment in 2020, the BE&E Fund has since surpassed this amount, thanks to additional contributions from generous donors.

Impact Investment Update: We just closed on a $750K deal to secure a low interest line of credit for Volunteer Lawyers Project of CNY, Inc. that will allow the organization to continue services until state grant contracts are fulfilled. This is the first investment from our newly established Certificate of Deposit funding program through NBT Bank. It will allow us to now make similar deposits for other organizations that need larger amounts of support than our Bridge Loan Program can provide.
New Line of Credit Opened for Nonprofit Loan Support A new agreement will allow VLPCNY to continue funding legal aid and anti-poverty programming while awaiting grants reimbursement.
