Over the weekend, we welcomed the first group of this year's Summer College students and helped with move-in! Summer College is an opportunity for high school juniors, seniors, and recent graduates to experience college-level coursework and to feel more prepared for college. Summer College, part of the Office of Pre-College Programs, has received a gift of $150,000 from the Campos Foundation to support recipients of the Campos Foundation Scholarship. The gift is part of the Forever Orange Campaign, and supports Summer College and the College of Engineering and Computer Science. This remarkable gift will give high school students the opportunity to go further in their academic careers.

Congratulations to Professor Austin Zwick, Ph.D, on his newly published research!

Professor Zwick is an assistant teaching professor and program director of the B.P.S. in Policy Studies program here at the College of Professional Studies.

Zwick recently co-authored the paper “Examining the Smart City Generational Model: Conceptualizations, Implementations, and Infrastructure Canada’s Smart City Challenge,” which was published in the Urban Affairs Review and studies people’s understanding of Smart Cities.
