Pierce County Santa Cops is a charitable organization formed by members of the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department. They provide clothing, food, toys, and other necessities to families in need or who have been devastated by a traumatic event. Volunteers from the Sheriff’s Department make the deliveries to unsuspecting families during the holiday season. They are a non-profit organization and are a registered 501(c)(3) charity, Tax ID #45-3757734.
Families are selected for Santa Cops deliveries through referrals from the law enforcement community and local schools. Since 2011 Pierce County Santa Cops has assisted over 1200 families which included over 3500 children. Most of these families are extremely low income and are often in need of clothing and food.
Chief LaLiberte had participated in the Santa Cops program for over 15 years while he was a member of the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department. He wants to continue to support the Santa Cops mission by facilitating a donation drop off at the EPD office from this date thru December 15th (Monday - Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm). EPD will then transfer the donations to the Santa Cops foundation to be disseminated later in December.
Our mission is to positively impact the community we serve and we could not accomplish our goal without the support of the local community and businesses such as yours. Thank you so much for your consideration and support in bring holiday cheer to struggling families in Pierce County.

On Patriot Day, also known as National Day of Service and Remembrance, we pay tribute to the heroes and victims who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.

One awesome service we have to assist Deputies are the mental health Co-Responders. A co-responder (mental health professional) gets out from behind a desk and serves your community in a new way, Co-responders are employed by MultiCare, but are embedded with our deputies and respond to calls for service by phone and in person.

On a separate note, here is some important information. This line can be used in place of 911, when appropriate.

Here is the pay scale for New Entry Deputy Sheriff's and Corrections. Would you like a good paying job? No college degree needed, High School diploma or GED.
