This weekend I learned the technique for building lightweight concrete stuctures as a substrate for mosaic. Very exciting, fun and exhausting work. Swipe to see the stages from beginning to end. Now my cat queen bust is ready to be covered in mosaic. I highly recommend taking this class from Katherine England in her studio in Fullerton CA. She is an amazing artist and teacher.

My husband grabbed one and rode it home. Electric scooters too. Yay Tacoma, just in time for the first day of Fall.

Large mirror complete...ALL recycled materials with the exception of glue and grout. This piece has entertained me for awhile now...may be the most fun I’ve had with art so far. Will be posted on Etsy soon!
