“How Multitasking Hurts Your Brain (and Your Effectiveness at Work)” was the title of a great Forbes article back in 2013. So often, we try to multitask and do too many things at once…. when, in reality, we’re decreasing our productivity and making our stress levels even worse. One thing that can help is taking all email and Facebook notifications (sounds) off your phone. If you’ve got them buzzing and dinging all day, no matter what you’re doing, they will distract you and demand your attention. Are you up for that!?

Planks are an incredible exercise for improving core stability and reducing lower back pain. Try adding in a little variation and spell the alphabet with your belly button. Might seem a little weird- but it’ll not only make the time go by faster, but you’ll be engaging your core and body in a new way! You game?

You’ll find it in almost every curry - turmeric has many properties. It helps balance blood sugar, heal wounds, is a potent antioxidant, and has incredible anti-inflammatory properties! It also helps to protect the brain. Try using it to spice up a few dishes this week for a great immune system boost! Here are 7 ways to get more in your diet:
The temperature in your bedroom can make the difference between a great night’s sleep and no sleep. Ideally, with an average amount of bedding, the best temperature for a good night’s sleep is around 65 degrees Fahrenheit.
Chronic inflammation is a big deal, linked to heart disease and diabetes. But here’s the good news: adding fresh berries, leafy greens, and fatty fish to your meals can make a huge difference. These foods contain antioxidants, omega-3s, and other nutrients that help reduce inflammation. Berries like blueberries and strawberries are rich in antioxidants that combat oxidative stress. Leafy greens such as spinach and kale are loaded with vitamins and fiber. Fatty fish like salmon and mackerel provide omega-3 fatty acids, which lower inflammation. Incorporating these foods into your diet can boost your health and make you feel better overall. It’s an easy and delicious way to fight inflammation and protect your body from chronic diseases.
Take a deep breath. Sounds simple. One of the best times to practice deep breathing is before you sleep. Listening to your breathing is very calming. It’s a great way to prepare your body for a restful sleep. Try practicing this for 1-2 minutes tonight. Who is willing to give this a try tonight?

Just because you’re eating at home doesn’t mean you can’t have the restaurant experience. Instead of making regular “plates” of food, try creating attractive platters that YOU bring to the table. Your family will “ooh and aah!” Here’s a great article to check out and learn how to “plate like a pro!” Make dinner with your family as important as having dinner with guests. What’s one easy tip you can suggest to make your dishes look more fancy!?
Here’s a cool tip about avocados that you probably don’t know! If you happen to buy an unripe avocado, put it in paper bag along with one ripe banana (close the bag of course). It’s said that ripe bananas release a lot of ethylene, which will speed up the ripening of the avocado!
Ever set your alarm for the same time every morning for few weeks? After a little while, your body will automatically get up right around that same time even without an alarm clock! Creating a sleep routine (where you go to bed and wake up the same time…yes even on the weekends) will help regulate your internal clock to get a better night’s rest.
What time are you going to bed tonight?

A Happiness Jar is a jar that contains your happiest moments of each day. How is works is simple… when something makes you happy or feel grateful…. write it down on a piece of paper and place it in your jar! How cool would it be to look back a week, a month, or even a year from now and read your happiest moments in your life? This is a great tool for practicing gratitude and being more present throughout the day! Are you up for giving this a shot?
Did you know that one 20-ounce Coke has more sugar than a large Cinnabon? Sixty-five grams of sugar is packed into one plastic bottle. Diet soda isn’t a better alternative because it will mess with your brain, AND it has been proven not to be great for your waistline even though it contains no calories. A lot is happening behind the scenes. Go for a nice cold glass of water and flavor it with fresh lemon, lime, or strawberry. Search the web for “Infuser Water Bottle” for a fun way to flavor your water.
There are so many choices for eggs at the market these days. Let me make it simple: Free Range (though they cost a little more) pack a much bigger health punch than any alternative. They have 1/3 less cholesterol, 2/3 more vitamin A, 2x more omega 3’s, 3x more vitamin E, and 7x more beta-carotene.
Up to 80% of us are “chest breathers” and are not getting enough oxygen into our bodies. This causes tension in the neck and shoulders. The good news is, if we consciously bring awareness to our breathing, all of this can be fixed! Here is an easy deep-breathing practice that I’m challenging you to do every day this week! Try this: Sit comfortably and straighten your back. Deeply breathe in air through your nose and hold your breath for a few seconds. Exhale through your mouth slowly, pushing out as much air as you can. Continue to breathe in and out like that for a few minutes and try to relax as much as possible. Concentrate of your breathing only. This practice is especially great in the morning to help wake up your body and detox from toxins. (but it’s also good at any time of the day!)
🤗 What would happen if you started setting time aside your schedule to more “working out”, “eating more veggies” because you LOVE yourself…
And because you deserve to “have tons of energy” and “feel healthy, fit, and strong”?
And NOT because you feel like you don’t measure up?

Here’s a recipe for Italian Meatball Bake:
Italian Meatball Bake
Ingredients:
High protein meatballs (store-bought or homemade)
1 lb ground beef
1 cup breadcrumbs
1 large onion, finely chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and pepper to taste
2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Prepare the Meatballs:
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
Form the mixture into small meatballs (about 1 inch in diameter).
Brown the Meatballs:
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add a bit of oil if needed.
Brown the meatballs on all sides until they are golden brown. They do not need to be fully cooked through, as they will finish cooking in the oven.
Prepare the Sauce:
In a baking dish, spread half of the crushed tomatoes evenly across the bottom.
Arrange the browned meatballs on top of the tomato layer.
Pour the remaining crushed tomatoes over the meatballs.
Add Cheeses:
Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the top.
Follow with the shredded mozzarella cheese.
Bake:
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
Serve:
Garnish with freshly chopped basil or parsley if desired.
Serve the meatball bake hot, with a side of pasta, crusty bread, or a fresh salad.
Enjoy your delicious Italian Meatball Bake! This dish is hearty, flavorful, and perfect for a cozy dinner.
These Are The WORST Foods That Speed Up Aging and Fat Gain (beware)
Visit: https://davidgrisaffi.com/the-f-a-t-method/
1. Bacon, Cured Meats, and Ham
Bacon, ham, and cured meats are packed full of preservatives to keep the meat fresh and prevent rotting.
And it's these preservatives that are the EXACT reason why your body looks ten years older! These preservatives cause free radical development to occur in your body.
When your body is overflowing with free radicals, it is at a higher risk of oxidizing healthy cells and DNA.
And when this occurs, not only do you age faster, but you're putting yourself at a much greater risk for developing cancer, diabetes, or other age-related health issues.
2. Pasta, Instant Oatmeal, Pretzels, and Bagels
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but some of your favorite foods have hit the list. Pastas, white bread, bagels, and instant oatmeal can also accelerate your skin's aging process.
The main reason is sugar. Many of these foods are stripped of their nutrients, only to be later "enriched" through chemical processes.
What is left will not only destroy your skin but will create many different problems with your skin.
3. Alcohol
Everyone knows that alcohol is bad for your body. But did you know that it could age you faster than many other drinks on the
market?
It's true! Besides being heavy on calories and sugar, alcohol may also deprive your body of an essential vitamin: Vitamin A.
Vitamin A is a powerful antioxidant important for cell renewal and turnover. Without higher vitamin A levels, you may experience higher free radical development, which again accelerates aging.
4. Wheat-Based Foods
Wheat-based foods have been touted to improve your health and stabilize your blood sugar due to the higher fiber content found in wheat-based foods.
So why is it on the list?
Wheat-based foods may cause spikes in your blood sugar, which could lead to more oxidative stress…free radical development…and inflammation.
The reason: Amylopectin-A. This carbohydrate found in wheat products has been shown to spike blood sugar levels higher and faster than any other product.
This, combined with the pasta and bread from above, could be very dangerous for your health and age you faster than you probably want.
Oh, I forgot to mention one thing…
There is an amusing and cool side effect to cutting out ( or limiting) your intake of these foods;
Accelerated fat loss! So, not only will you slow down the aging process, but you'll also have a slimmer, toner, and FLATTER body that rivals most young adults or even middle-aged adults!
Limiting these foods would be ideal for slowing the aging process (and dropping some of these unwanted LBS)…
But that's easier said than done! But don't worry…
There's a pretty simple trick that you can use to protect yourself against these foods and the harmful effects of sugar and trans-fats.
And it has nothing to do with eating different foods to counteract the adverse effects! On the next page, I will show you how to find the exact foods to slow aging and fight back against these harmful foods.
But before I show you that…
You should know that plenty of other foods, such as margarine, soybean and vegetable oil, some cereals, and corn-based products, could also speed up the aging process in your body by spiking inflammation and creating more oxidative stress from your exposure to even more FREE RADICALS.

MY GOAL
Is to do 75 hard program
It’s GAME ON time! 💪
🤩It’s essential to me to try new things regularly –which is why I’m “seeing what happens during" my 75 hard program.
I am doing this for a few reasons – including my self-care – but it also helps me be a better coach.
Doing something new helps me identify even more with my clients, who often step out of their comfort zone and try something new.
👉🏼Here are a few of my takeaways so far:
I am cutting down on my coffee consumption, cutting down on carbs, and I feel less stressed using meditation.

Interesting article from an online newspaper in Europe.
I think I might rather listen to what they are saying in Europe in terms of food/nutrition compared to what gets said here. I don't think it's about the money as much over there. They are MUCH slimmer than we are and don't have nearly as many overweight people as we do in the U.S. (but it looks like they're catching up).
