Home office views definitely make working a little later easier. 🌅

About two weeks ago I told my big sis that I wanted to add Sports photography to my portfolio. I told her I was gonna start praying that God would open up doors in order to do so.

Saturday I was contacted to see if I would work as a subcontractor shooting a 8hr corporate golf event. Last night, I signed the contract and the event is Friday. I’m grateful. Prayer works. 🙏🏾

Community Reinvestment in Action: Looking for a talented local photographer? We are celebrating with another Small Business Grant recipient this week. Chelsea Tornga Photography, a brilliant Tacoma based portrait photographer, received funding to purchase new equipment including a drone, lens, a second camera, lighting gear, and a photo booth.
“Receiving this Small Business Grant will have a tremendous impact on my business,” Tornga said. “With the new equipment, I can offer a wider range of services and attract new clients."
The photo booth rentals will be especially beneficial, providing a steady revenue stream and keeping her business active year-round, she said. And with the increased business, she also anticipates hiring a second photographer.
Thank you to the Washington State Department of Commerce for partnering with Local Workforce Boards on this initiative that allows local small businesses grow and thrive. hashtag

When Rory told me she wanted to visit one of her favorite Antique shops during her senior session, I was all in. I had never taken Senior Photos in an Antique shop before so was the perfect place for us to visit once wrapped up roaming around downtown Everett.

It’s a wrap. I sent out the last 3 galleries to my clients so I’m all caught up on edits and looking forward to the weekend.

I’ve stayed true to my own advance of getting professional photos taking once a year and lovin these shots taken by the lovely Merissa Humes photo.

Geesh, I could go on and on talking about the goodness of God. I’m just so greatful. 😭

Ya’ll, not only is Chelsea Tornga Photography now officially listed as a Vendor on Washington State’s Vendor list, I headed to Olympia this morning and completed my first government assignment for Washington State Public Disclosure Commission. 📸🍾

There were a lot of moving parts that made this session a success so I have to give a shout-out to my Partners, The Odigo Group who presented me this gig and put things in motion.
Christina, Krissy, Eddie, & Becky thank you for making sure things were in line for me! You’re much appreciated. Now it’s time to win more bids. 🤨

Robert & Lenit’s micro wedding was sweet.
Surrounded by just 10 of their close loved ones, & overlooking Ruston Way waterfront, I captured these two saying YES to forever. 💍

Before booking me as their Photographer, the two actually had discussions about foregoing investing in photography for their wedding. However, by the end of my phone call consultation with Robert, it was a no-brainer to him that investing in my photography services was going to be something that he wouldn’t regret.

I’m so so happy I was able to create these keepsake memories for them.

Today I sat down and chatted with Amanda who is cofounder of Tacoma Sun Alliance. Amanda reached out to me after seeing my photography work from the “It’s a Hair Affaire” event on the Tacoma Public Schools page.

Tacoma Sun Alliance advocates for the unheard voices to uplift and connect our unrepresented communities shining light on the south end Tacoma neighborhoods. They are big on helping families & youth feel safe.

Not only was I hooked when she talked to me about the volunteer scheduled street cleanups they do, but they are currently in the process of advocating for our youth by pushing for a cummunuty center closer to home. I love our youth.

People are moved by pictures so I’m super excited that I will be working with Sun Alliance in the near future to shine light on their amazing organization.

Shout out to God who keeps opening doors and connecting me to amazing people who have a heart of helping others . 🙏🏾
