Is our forgiveness from God and the forgiveness of others by God contingent upon our/their willingness to forgive others?
A party can't happen without people! We are deeply thankful for every person who helps make VBS happen at RVCC Graham and RVCC Parkland. The time you spend serving our communities is priceless.
A section we did not cover during our teaching series but is too critical to ignore is Jesus’ teaching on money. It seems like Jesus is saying that any kind of “storing up of treasures” is incompatible with today's Kingdom-ready lifestyle. But this raises a question, what does this mean for how we manage our wealth? Is Jesus opposed to our high-yield savings, retirement accounts, and investment portfolios?
Is Jesus saying that we should allow people to mistreat us and do nothing about it?
Unfortunately, there have been incidences where people have been instructed by pastors and well-meaning Christian leaders to suffer their injustices quietly and to remain in abusive relationships, with the rationale that Jesus instructed us to live this way. However, this is a severely misguided interpretation that lacks context.
This post is a reminder that if you are experiencing abuse, you deserve to be safe and respected. There is a lot more that needs to be said and done besides just a social media post like this.
If you are experiencing abuse, don't hesitate to get in touch with the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1.800.799.SAFE (7233). Or text "START" to 88788. It is a discreet and safe place to contact for help.
Community is indeed the heart of our church! What do you think makes our church community unique?
Serving is not just what we do, it’s who we are.
🌟 Thank You for an Amazing Summer Potluck and Praise Night! 🌟

Let’s always carry this spirit of community and gratitude with us!
Thank you for praying for the 2024 High School Camp, and for the students and leaders who spent the week having fun and growing together! 🌞
We asked Erika Anderson, our Graham Student Ministry Pastor to tell us about the week, and the following is what she had to say:
This was our best week of high school camp yet! With clear goals in mind for everyone, we spent the week building intentional relationships and taking next steps towards Jesus. The moment from camp that sticks out to me the most came from the Leap of Faith. Black Diamond Camp is all about pushing students outside of their comfort zone through “challenge by choice.”
No one has to do anything at camp, but everyone is encouraged to try new things. For the Leap of Faith, students climb up a tree to a platform. From there, they jump off the platform, trying to reach a trapeze bar or just get lowered to the ground. Picture this exercise like being a spy in a movie.
Several students were pretty set on not doing the Leap of Faith. Finally, one girl put on the harness and helmet and started to climb. She was so brave. She got up there, decided it wasn’t for her, and climbed back down. It’s what I watched afterwards that blew me away. Her bravery inspired three more students to try. For some it was just putting on the harness, others climbed a little and then climbed down, others did the whole thing.
It was a reminder to me how much we need community to support our faith. We need people who have gone ahead of us to guide us, we need people coming behind us to push us further, we need people walking alongside us to rely on. And all throughout, we need people to cheer for us and celebrate every step we take towards God.

🎉 The party started during VBS at RVCC Graham! Woo-Hoo!! Let's pray for our families and volunteers this week as a church.
Thank you to everyone who supported our local schools recently! Whether it was making candy leis for graduates or showing up for our cities through generosity, your commitment is truly encouraging. 🙌🏽
A prayer this Juneteenth...May we continue to strive for equality and unity in our communities.
Ordination is the affirming of God’s call on someone’s life to vocational ministry and the setting apart of that person to ministry in the church. This morning, we celebrated the ordination of Pastor Jeff at RVCC Graham! Feel free to comment below words of encouragement for him. We love you, Jeff!
To all the fathers out there, today is a day of recognition, reflection, and emotion. Whether you’re celebrating with joy or facing challenges, know that you’re not alone.
For Those Celebrating:
Today, embrace the laughter, the messy hugs, and the scribbled “I love you” notes. Celebrate the late-night bedtime stories or the countless soccer games you’ve cheered at.
For Those Struggling:
Life isn’t always a Hallmark card. Sometimes it’s messy, complicated, and exhausting. Maybe you’re missing your own father today, have complex relationships, have experienced child loss, or perhaps you’re navigating parenthood alone.
No matter where you are on this journey, know that your role as a father or a father figure matters. Your love, sacrifices, and presence shape lives in ways you may never fully grasp. So, take a deep breath and know that you’re making a difference.
Happy Father’s Day! 🙌❤️
Today, we take time to honor and remember ...
With Memorial Day Weekend, we wanted to let you know a few things before Sunday (tomorrow). RVCC Kids Parkland and RVCC Kids Graham will be hosting nursery only for both services. We will have kids' boxes for pick up in the foyer with some fun items elementary-aged kids can enjoy during service.
Also, if you are traveling this weekend, why not join us at RVCC Online? Service begins at 10:30am at live.rainierview.org. We'd love to see you there!
On this Mother's Day, we want to take a moment to acknowledge that this holiday can bring up a range of emotions. For some, it's a joyful occasion to celebrate and be celebrated. For others, it can be a difficult day that reminds us of painful losses, broken relationships, or unfulfilled desires.
To those who are celebrating, we give thanks for the mothers in our lives and the love and sacrifices they have made for us. Let us honor and appreciate them, not just on this day, but every day. To those who are hurting, know that you are not alone. God sees your pain and He cares for you deeply. He is the ultimate comforter who can bring healing and restoration to our brokenness.
Motherhood comes in many different forms, and is not just limited to biological or adoptive mothers. There are also spiritual mothers, mentors, and caregivers who have played a significant role in our lives. This is a great opportunity to celebrate, honor, and give thanks for the impact they have made in our lives.
Above all, let us love and support each other as a community. Let’s be there for each other, pray for each other, and uplift each other with words of encouragement and acts of kindness. Blessings to all the mothers, grandmothers, aunts, sisters, mentors, and caregivers in our midst, and may God's grace and peace be with us all.
We know that many families attend church together on Mother’s Day, so for those of you who will be attending RVCC Parkland or RVCC Graham this Sunday, we have something special planned.

Church is the right place to grow in faith, learn, and ask questions about Jesus. Church should also be a place to build relationships, community, and friendships that will last a lifetime. At RVCC, we believe that heart change and the real work happens within community. It starts with us creating a safe place to connect, but it makes a difference when people, like you, make it possible.
➡ Join us this Sunday at 9am or 10:30am at RVCC Parkland or RVCC Graham. Find community at RVCC Online during our live chat service at 10:30am. Locations can be found on our website. See you then!
