I get the Verse of the Day in my email every day (from biblestudytools.com ) and it's SUCH a blessing! But it's always only ONE verse, and I often want to read the WHOLE passage! So-- I DID that again today. Here's Psalm 103. I read it out loud with THANKFUL tears at the KINDNESS of our God!!

Psalms 103

Of David.
1 Praise the LORD, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
2 Praise the LORD, my soul, and forget not all his benefits—
3 who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases,
4 who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion,
5 who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
6 The LORD works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed.
7 He made known his ways to Moses, his deeds to the people of Israel:
8 The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.
9 He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever;
10 he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities.
11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him;
12 as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
13 As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him;
14 for he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust.
15 The life of mortals is like grass, they flourish like a flower of the field;
16 the wind blows over it and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more.
17 But from everlasting to everlasting the LORD’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children—
18 with those who keep his covenant and remember to obey his precepts.
19 The LORD has established his throne in heaven, and his kingdom rules over all.
20 Praise the LORD, you his angels, you mighty ones who do his bidding, who obey his word.
21 Praise the LORD, all his heavenly hosts, you his servants who do his will.
22 Praise the LORD, all his works everywhere in his dominion. Praise the LORD, my soul.

Ahhh!! SO GOOD!! I NEEDED this today-- Thursday April 18th, 2024.

“In the Bible, it rained for 40 days and 40 nights.
Day 41 came and the rain stopped.

Moses committed murder & hid in the desert for 40 years.
Year 41 came, and God called him to help rescue Israel.

Moses went up on the mountain for 40 days.
On day 41, he received the Ten Commandments.

The Israelites wandered in the wilderness for 40 years.
Year 41, they walked into the Promised Land.

Goliath taunted Israel for 40 days.
Day 41 came, and David slew him.

Jonah preached a message of repentance to Ninevah for 40 days.
On day 41, God stopped His plan to destroy them.

Jesus fasted and was tempted for 40 days.
Day 41, and the devil fled.

After His resurrection, Jesus appeared to His disciples for 40 days.
On day 41, He ascended into Heaven.

All this to say...don't quit. The rain will stop, the giant will fall, and you will enter your "promised land." Don't give up at 40.

Sharon Rose (Harvey) Montgomery was born October 23, 1946 in Oklahoma City to Calvin Coolidge Harvey and Daisy India Goodrich Harvey. She passed from this life on December 1, 2023, at the age of 77 years.

Sharon was the eldest child, with five younger brothers. She grew up in the Tulsa area, where she married Ellis Wayne Short in 1964 and gave birth to five children. Sharon moved to the Tahlequah area in 1979, where she continued her work in real estate, and earned her degree in Computer Science at NSU. In 1996, Sharon married her husband of 27 years, Tom Montgomery. They have 23 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.

Sharon has faithfully served the Lord in music all of her life, playing piano, organ, and singing. She is a beloved member of Calvary Assembly of God Church in Tahlequah, OK.

Mrs. Montgomery is survived by her husband Tom of their home in Tahlequah, her daughter Becky Wright of Tahlequah, her son William & wife Karrie Short of Terlton, OK, her daughter Sharla & husband Tom Maben of Hulbert, OK, her daughter-in-law Cyndie Short of Vinita, OK, and numerous grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her brothers Bruce, Lonnie, Terry, Robin and Jeffery Harvey; her daughter Elizabeth Montgomery, son Clifford Short, stepsons Daniel and Josh Montgomery, and son-in-law Hank Wright.

My mom's Memorial service (Sharon Montgomery) will be this Saturday Dec. 9th at Calvary Assembly of God @ 1005 E. 1st St, Tahlequah. 12 Noon LUNCH, 1:30 Service.

My mom took a turn for the worse around 5:30 this morning (Friday Dec. 1st). The doctor told Grandpa (my stepdad) to call the family in. Her pupils indicate the brain is dying. 😩💔😭 It ain't over until it's over, and I'm still asking God for a miraculous healing! I'm halfway to St. John's in Tulsa now.🙏🛐🙏🛐🙏🙌

Mmmm!!! God just KEEPS SPEAKING to me through this passage!! He led me here the night of my daughter's birthday several weeks ago (which was a SIGNIFICANT day concerning my biggest prayer concern right now!), & again last Friday night -- and He brought it up & CONFIRMED this scripture 3 different ways THAT SAME NIGHT -- INCREDIBLE!! ONLY GOD!! So I will continue to walk by faith in what he is promised and not by sight (physical, emotional or other "signals"). Because GOD IS FAITHFUL!!! Habakkuk 2:3-4
