McCall's Cookies and More

My wife, Marianne, has been baking recently and has been making breads, pies, and other items that fall under the Florida Cottage Food regulations.

I am turning over the McCall cottage food baking to her as she moves away from the daily grind of substitute teaching.

She will be at some local farmer's markets that allow these items to be available.

She can take orders for items at any time. My specialty is cookies. I will continue helping to produce those and some other baked good items. (Snickerdoodles sold out at her first market appearance.)

After a hiatus, I am relaunching my cottage food enterprise in Tallahassee, Florida. Changes in Florida’s laws are for the better, although I would like to see indirect sales added. I am starting out focusing mostly on cookies and may add additional items based on local demand.

Nov. 11, 2020 - I need to earn some extra income to help offset my wife's medical expenses from chemo, surgery to remove a kidney, and now the need for hearing aids for her. Needing to earn at least $3,100.

I am overwhelmed. Baking is a stress reliever for me, so if you need some cookies or other baked goods for the holidays, please let me know.

There are no "rates." It is on a donation basis.

We've been going through some renovations. Final cleaning and sanitization of kitchen this weekend. I have a baked goods request coming up. Getting back to it!

Kitchen plumbing about complete. I will crank the bakery back up to full tilt by October 1.

Inspiring story.

Teen sells enough cupcakes to take his entire family to Disney World Isaiah Tuckett has a passion for baking, and before he even entered high school, he made a business out of it. When the 14-year-old from Madison, Minnesota, started selling cupcakes, he set an ambitious goal for himself – and he recently found sweet success.

This venture has been on hiatus due to overall busy-ness of life and the demands of radio (my primary business.)

It's April 2019 and I have decided to prep the kitchen to return to baking. My first major baking endeavor will be for a family reunion in late April.

I need to start earning extra income to help pay for renovating our kitchen and home.

This will be a busy baking weekend. Baked goods including cookies, cupcakes, pound cakes and muffins for two luncheons and Lincoln High School class. We'll get it done!

Our first fall baking event will be Saturday, Sept. 29. We will be selling baked goods at the Woodrun Baptist Church Craft Market from 10 am to 3 pm that day
Location is 8203 Apalachee Parkway.

We are updating some of our kitchen and cooking space. We have added a stainless steel prep table, a newer model bread machine, reorganized a separate baker's cabinet and restocked with additional supplies.

It is my hope that this venture can grow from a hobby/occasional paying job to a real business over time.

I would anticipate my heaviest baking days to be toward the end of the week, with customers picking up their goods on weekends. Other arrangements are possible

Grandson Benjamin is interested in culinary arts and will be actively involved.
