Are you ready for Friday the 13th?

To celebrate this occasion, your Halloween fiends are hosting a special Free Movie Night at Terror of Tallahassee. It starts at sundown (7:45pm) in our court yard (unless it rains, in which case we'll move it inside to the Summoning Room). All you need is a blanket or chair to sit, we'll provide the free popcorn and the eerie atmosphere. The movie? House on Haunted Hill (William Castle & Vincent Price, 1959). It's definitely old school horror, rated TV 14. It's 1 hour 15 minutes. You may bring other snacks and drinks, but please, no alcohol (we're not allowed to have it on the premises).

So that's Friday Sept 13 at 7:45pm. This is basically unadvertised, so we're not expecting many to show-- just a handful of the really brave. So bring something to sit/rest on, and of course, the necessary courage. See you there (if you dare).

Halloween costumes taking jabs at the Chinese government and flailing economy have led to a crackdown in China. Halloween has long been a somewhat touchy subject in China, with authorities previously arguing that scary makeup could cause public panic and others decrying the celebration as an unwelcome Western influence.
