🌟EXCITING NEWS! 🌟LeMoyne Arts' 2024 Chain of Parks Art Festival is ranked the #1 Florida art festival & the #7 art festival nationwide in the Fine Art and Design category according to Sunshine Artist Magazine.
Artists cast their votes to nominate their highest money-making show for 2024. The results were tabulated using a weighted scale based on four sales levels to ensure all events competed fairly. “Sunshine Artist’s 200 Best" focuses solely on artist show revenue because that is the most objective indicator of a show’s future success,” the publication said in a press release.
“The Chain of Parks Art Festival, about to see its 25th year of bringing the nation’s top fine artists to the Capital City, has become one of Tallahassee’s favorites. With the support of our community and the dedication of our volunteers and staff, this celebration of art and culture has been recognized as one of the best in the nation for 10 years,” said Festival Chair Kelly Dozier. “The Festival committee and volunteers work hard to make this a fun and successful event for all and to be recognized among the top 10 festivals in the nation means the world to us.”
💚Thank you to our artists for sending in their forms to help us achieve this national recognition!

✨CALL TO ARTISTS: 1 WEEK LEFT✨
Her Temple, featuring painter and poetess Isabella Al-Sharif, is an enchanting exhibition that embodies portraits of strength, power, and multidimensional layers of feminine divinity. Through intricate brushwork and ethereal gold leaf, her portraits evoke reverence and empowerment, weaving a thread of unity between women of all races, backgrounds, and ethnicities. As viewers immerse themselves in this visual odyssey, they are invited into a world where unity, strength, and spirituality intertwine in poetic harmony, bridging the gap between observer and artwork.
This call to artists is open to all mediums, with an effort to complement Isabella’s work. We are seeking applicants who can expand upon this vision by incorporating women from diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds, while also infusing a spiritual context through symbology that resonates with nature and animal motifs.

“Forever Side by Side” Featuring Randy and Debra Brienen
🎨 Randy and Debra Brienen return with “Forever Side by Side”, featuring selected paintings of the same subject created by each artist in their distinctive styles and displayed side by side.
🖼️ This exhibition is the third in a series which began as “Side by Side” in 2010, and “Still Side by Side” in 2016.
💕 The series title is a lovely nod to the Brienen’s 54 years of marriage and creating art side by side. The two met as teenagers in central Illinois and, though not old enough to date, attended art classes at the YMCA. Then, as now, their styles differed - Debra preferred detailed realism while Randy enjoyed creating abstract works.
🌴Eventually, these mostly self-taught artists evolved into more impressionistic styles. Still, stylistic differences in color and scale of work make it possible to differentiate between the artist’s pieces. Inspired by nature, their work often captures beloved Florida scenes and landmarks.
📰 In an article for the Tallahassee Democrat, Debra Brienen went further into detail on their artistic process and differing styles. “‘We travel together and take pictures of the same scenes,’ explains Brienen, as they will often experience nature by bike. ‘He’s much more impressionistic than I am. I am trying to be more like him, and sometimes I think he’s trying to be more like me.’”
🎟️ Come by LeMoyne Arts to experience the full exhibition until Saturday, August 17th.
Forever Side by Side: Muffins & Mimosas 🍾 was so much fun! Randy and Debra Brienen had a great turn out for their 🎨Artist Talk.
