Congratulations to Athletic Administrative Assistant Margaret Chiera on her retirement from Tallmadge City Schools after 28 years of service. We will miss seeing her every day but wish her the best in her new adventures!

Tallmadge Farmers Market coordinator, Andrea Kidder, was invited to visit 3rd and 4th grade classes at Tallmadge Elementary School to share information about the Farmers Market. As part of her visit, she asked the students if they would be willing to create flyers to assist with advertising this season. Thank you Tallmadge City Schools, we cannot wait to share these designs each week!

Today was the first day for the Baseball Youth Camp at The Hole in Tallmadge. Our THS Baseball players and coaches are instructing and the young players are excited to be learning and spending time with friends.

Some of our second graders installed a free mini library and mini pantry in front of TES as part of their service project for the year.

The idea started with a food pantry and grew into a free snack mini pantry. A community member had donated two mini library boxes in 2020, but the boxes had gone into storage until our students brought up the idea. The students presented their proposal to Mr. Booth and Mr. Wood and received permission. Each book focuses on a syllable type, showcasing students' knowledge of phonics, reading, and learning throughout the year. They are extremely excited and proud of this project. These boxes are for the entire community to enjoy!

Mrs. Andrews taught her final day at TES and her colleagues celebrated her with cake, hugs and words of encouragement.

We wish her the best in retirement and feel lucky to have had her as part of our TCS family.

Attention Class of 2024 students and parents: if you haven't picked up your yard sign yet - please do so soon. Signs are either on the front porch of the board offie or at THS. Signs not collected by June 5 will be thrown out and we would like to see them go to their proper homes!

Our state-qualifying track athletes will head to Dayton tomorrow to compete at the state meet on Friday and Saturday. We sent them off in style today from THS and wish them luck as they represent Tallmadge.

Youth boys basketball sign-ups are happening now online! Camps will take place in the THS gym in July.
