We were honored to join our TGH family and the Hillsborough County Fire Rescue at the Well4Life Fire Fit IQ Challenge! These men and women work incredibly hard to protect our community and they definitely deserved a day of fun competition between stations! 🚒

Pivot! New and exciting things are happening at our Bayonet Point location! Watching the delicate and meticulous installation of these incredible machines is absolutely thrilling to the radiology nerds in us!

TGH Imaging’s Comprehensive Breast Program has fully integrated with TGH Pathology for breast biopsy results! After months of collaboration and two major system transformations, the TGH Pathology Team will now perform lab testing for all biopsies performed at TGH Imaging.

This integrative initiative will help streamline the biopsy result process for patients and ensure the utilization of the TGH specialists we know and trust. This is an excellent example of the interdepartmental partnerships that happen daily at TGH, helping us provide the highest standard of patient care.

The Tampa Bay Parenting 2024 Back to School Fair is an annual tradition for our TGH Imaging team! It was an epic turnout of families getting ready for the school year and having some fun!

Cheers to 1 year! We’re celebrating 1 year since the implementation of TGH Imaging’s Philips Radiology Operations Command Center aka the ROCC! Go Team!

One year with the ROCC has exceeded our expectations in expanding advanced MRI imaging and appointment availability for patients.

The ROCC is a virtualized imaging solution that allows for more consistent workflows and faster, better-quality diagnostic imaging. This innovative technology facilitates communication between technologists to provide real-time collaboration, support and training on complex imaging procedures and protocols.

Congratulations to our TGH Imaging Northside Breast Biopsy Team on the installation of our new Hologic Affirm Prone Breast Biopsy Table and Hologic Brevera Breast Biopsy System! Together this innovative technology delivers faster, more comfortable procedures while providing superior imaging quality creating a better experience for patients and providers.

This new imaging guided breast biopsy system reduces the time spent in compression by combining multiple steps into one. Conventional stereotactic breast biopsy procedures require eight steps while the new Brevera system allows clinicians to perform biopsies in just three steps by combining tissue acquisition, imaging, verification, and sample prep.

TGH Imaging Again Accomplishes an Accreditation Milestone as an American College of Radiology Designated Comprehensive Breast Imaging Center!

ACR accreditations are considered the gold standard in medical imaging. The American College of Radiology (ACR) recently designated TGH Imaging, located on Parsons Avenue in Brandon, Florida, as a Comprehensive Breast Imaging Center (CBIC). It is the second TGH Imaging Center to receive this elite designation, representing facilities accredited in all ACR breast imaging accreditation programs and modules offering access to advanced breast cancer testing combined with a top-quality patient experience.

Our South Tampa Team had a special VIP visitor today! Franklin, one of Tampa General Hospital’s therapy dogs, did an amazing job spreading joy and smiles throughout the center! He took his job very seriously and jumped right in to help welcome patients at the front, observe the team in MRI, give CT new protocols, talk new innovation with Mammo, chitchat with the radiologist, and party a little with X-ray!
