I was in a waiting room yesterday and the person next to me saw my face on the side of my car door on his way in to the business. I noticed his super sized cup of soda.(he said it was Dr. Pepper, my favorite soda) He started asking me questions about real estate. (I have not rented for about 7 years now) he told me that he pays $1700.00 a month for rent for a 4/2 house. I told him that I pay under $800 a month for my 4/2 house. Needless to say he had to clean up his mess from spitting his drink out from his shock. I share this story for 2 reasons. Reason #1: when you rent, you are making your landlord money by paying his/her mortgage and they gain equity on the house so they make double money.
Reason #2: I want to help you become a home owner so you can pay less per month than you are paying now to someone that has no vested interest in you progression.
