Do not allow yourself to be persuaded into induction of labor unless it can be proven that the pregnancy is effecting your health, and your babies health. Being too large of a baby is not an excuse to induce labor.

I myself experienced my doctor trying to encourage me to induce with a c section because I had triplet girls, and they were c section.

He also encouraged me around week 37 to have a c section because the baby was becoming "too big" approaching 9 pounds per their systems.

I knew within myself that I could have a vbac, and that size didn't matter to me. And I was right! I took natural methods at home to induce my own labor, and it worked‼️ You can do it too❤️✨️ Baby JoJo arrived 1/13/2024 weighing 8 pounds and 8 ounces 💪🏾

I had the unbelievable privilege of being supported by not just one, but TWO amazing doulas for my son’s birth! Despite being a doula myself, I really couldn’t doula myself in labor. During labor it’s so important to stay in your instinctual brain instead of your thinking brain. Having their support allowed me to labor freely and have my needs anticipated! This birth was such a fun and beautiful experience and I can’t imagine that day without these two amazing doulas by my side!

Royal Empress Doula Services presents a few reasons to stay away from epidurals, and emphasizes how having a support team, that includes a doula, is beneficial to a drug free experience✨️

As a doula, it is my responsibility to ensure that your birth plan is followed 100%, and thoroughly. It is also my responsibility to prevent epidurals, and cesarean as much as possible.
