Come celebrate National CRNA Week with USF’s Nurse Anesthesiology Program! Stop by the CON all week, from January 22-26. Resident Registered Nurse Anesthetists (RRNAs) will be on hand all week to celebrate the CRNA profession with anesthesia equipment for hands-on demonstrations and swag! Can’t wait to see you there!

Our newly formed Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee had their first ever trivia night yesterday evening! All RRNAs are welcome and encouraged to participate. This event will be a regular event going forward. Families and significant others are also encouraged to attend and mingle with each other. Great work to those who have worked hard to get this committee and event organized!!

USF nurse anesthetist grad trains physicians in Ukraine Ukrainian native & USF Nursing School grad returns home

Thank you to all of our vendors and students for making this year’s career fair a huge success! 🤘🏼

Tampa nurse returns home after helping Ukrainian refugees and his family Thanks to his USF training as a Nurse Anesthetist, Sergiy Omelayenko was more than equipped to jump in and help those in Ukraine, including his own family members.

A couple of our students went to Washington D.C. this past week, to represent Florida at the AANA Mid-Year Assembly! While US Congress was in session, they met with senators and reps to advocate for CRNAs and SRNAs on the federal level 🏛🤘🏼

This weekend our students had the opportunity to network with fellow CRNAs and SRNAs from across the state at FANAs Ninth Annual Sand & Surf Anesthesia Symposium 🌴🌊 🤟🏼

This past weekend, students and faculty from the University of South Florida Nurse Anesthesia Program attended the first-live FANA / Florida Association of Nurse Anesthetists Conference since the COVID-19 pandemic.

Three of our amazing faculty spoke at the event: Dr. Karla Maldonado, Dr. Kenneth Wofford, and Dr. John Maye. They covered important topics such as global anesthesia and pain management. All of this was emceed by our very own program director, Dr. Michelle Canale!
