It's perfectly normal for children to be afraid of things. In fact, it's quite healthy. Fear is a raw sentiment that assists to keep us safe. It's only when fear commences to intrude a child's everyday life that it becomes a crisis. Some children are scared of everything, from the dark to loud noises. This can make life very complicated for them and their families.
There are several ways to help a child overcome their fear:
✅Acknowledge the fear: Let the child know that it is normal to feel afraid and that it is okay to express their feelings.
✅Provide reassurance: Let the child know that they are safe and that you will protect them.
✅Help the child understand the fear: Explain the situation or object that the child is afraid of in a simple, age-appropriate way.
✅Encourage the child to face their fear: Gradually expose the child to the situation or object that they are afraid of in a controlled and safe environment.
