Word is out! The Tehachapi Library is buzzing with news of a Bridgerton Tea! Lady Whistledown has made her announcement: dust off your finest attire and polish your manners for an elegant afternoon of tea and delightful company. Don't let this splendid gathering of the season pass you by! βππ

Did you know we carry newer titles? Check out our 2022-2024 hardcover fiction in our Downstairs bookstore (top far right, Fiction side). We also carry 2022-2024 nonfiction titles - these newer titles typically run $2-3, they are individually priced in our bookstore.
We also received alot of sheet music, available for $0.75 per item, lower shelf on our nonfiction side.
You can find these "featured" items in our store - just look for the "googly eyes". The Friends of the Tehachapi Library book store is open when the Library is open: 10-7 Tue/Wed/Thu, 10-6 Fri, and 10-4 Sat. Our bookstore is at the bottom of the stairs. All proceeds benefit our local library.

That's a wrap for another great sale! Thanks to all who helped set up and staff our Fall Book Sale (not all are pictured, this is just the "shed crew")!!! We could NOT put on our sales without you since our group skews...well, "vintage".
Thanks to those who showed up to buy books! "Book people" are OUR PEOPLE, so it was a happy day for us! It was one of our more successful sales, and we are so grateful to all who showed up on this beautiful day! π₯°
You can still grab a photo in front of our Apple "Selfie Station", we will leave it up thru the Apple Festival. Visit the Tehachapi Library's booth ( #46) Sunday to grab a free book, and look south, you can't miss it.
CAN YOU HELP? We have a Book Sale to host this weekend, but we need HELPERS! We could use some extra hands setting up this Friday (Oct 11th) for the big day. Boxes are 30lb max. Here are the details on volunteer times:
1.) We need lifters at the ππ’ππ«ππ«π² ππ π§π¨π¨π§ π
π«π’πππ² for the "Boutique move" to move ~80 boxes to the Courtyard on (provided) carts.
2) We need lifters at the ππ‘ππ ππ ππ©π¦ π
π«π’πππ² (address provided, a few blocks from Library) to load ~80 boxes into (provided) vans/trucks for the "Bag Sale move" to the Library.
3) We could also use help tearing down at the ππ’ππ«ππ«π² ππ¨π§πππ² πππ ππππ‘ ππ«π¨π¦ ππππ¦-ππ©π¦.

Volunteers get earliest access to the sales (volunteer shop times are 3:30-4:00pm Friday and 9:30-10:00am Saturday).
The Friends of the Tehachapi Library is hosting it's FALL BOOK SALE on SATURDAY, OCTOBER 12 from 10am-5pm during the Tehachapi Apple Festival. It will be located in the Courtyard of the Tehachapi Library.
But we are adding something special this year: a "We Love Locals" sale so that our Tehachapi residents can park close and shop before the Festival starts. The "We Love Locals" sale will occur Friday October 11 from 4-6pm.
We need help setting up and tearing down the sale, as well as cashiers and assistance during the sale. Volunteers get EARLIEST access to the sale (you can shop early and pick up your books after you work your shift), signup and early access info here: https://www.volunteersignup.org/TQD84
We can't wait to see you there!!! Proceeds earned help fund equipment and programming for our local library.
