STEVEN SCHWARTZ boasts an impressive forty years of educational experience, ranging from classroom teaching, to educational administration and teacher training, to serving as liaison to parent organizations. Above all else, Steve recognizes the importance of parent involvement in education and is committed to creating an atmosphere of productive communication between parents, teachers, and the School Board.
As an incumbent, Steve boasts a tenure with the TVUSD School Board marked by an insistence of transparency and clear communication between the Board and those they serve. Steve will continue to fight to ensure that students and their families are represented with fairness and equity, and that the decisions made by the TVUSD are fiscally responsible, represent our community’s desires, and above all else benefit our students and their families first.

This November, in TA 1, for the candidate that Temecula Teachers Trust. Vote for Allison Barclay!
ALLISON BARCLAY joined the TVUSD School Board in 2021, and in the years since has shown consistent commitment to TVUSD’s mission: “We Elevate Experiences, Opportunities, and Each Other.” In her time on the Board, Allison has used her experience as a TVUSD parent, family advocate, and CEO of the Boys and Girls Club of North County to promote transparency and emphasize family involvement to build an environment of trust and mutual respect in our schools.
Allison’s work on the TVUSD School Board mirrors her work with the Boys and Girls Club, in which she has invested thirty years of work, and with the Rotary Club of Fallbrook, for which she served as President. Her investment and dedication to our community is further evident in her role as Treasurer for TVHS Cheer as well as in her volunteerism with TVHS Stunt, Temecula Valley Pop Warner, and Temecula Valley PTA, and the Boy Scouts. We are excited to see Allsion continue to use her experience as a Board member and decades of community involvement to uphold a students-first focus to the Temecula Valley Unified School District’s School Board.

GARY ODDI has lived in the Temecula area for thirty-five years, and in that time he has served our community as a teacher, school administrator, and community services commissioner and planning team director for the cities of Temecula and Murrieta.
Gary has the experience and insight necessary to, as he puts it, “build bridges” between all parties in Temecula’s educational communities. His commitment shows in his professional history as a teacher, principal, and community volunteer, and his passion for the betterment of our students and their families is evident in his work outside the classroom and with organizations such as Bike Temecula Valley, the Positive Coaching Alliance, and the City of Temecula’s Community Services Commission.

This November, vote for the candidate Temecula Teachers Trust! DAVID SOLA has a background which gives him a unique perspective on the need for stability, consistency, and a commitment to the community that he has dedicated his adult life to serving. As a father of several TVUSD students, David recognizes the need to approach the governance of our District with a data-focused atmosphere of dialogue and reason. His work as an operations enablement manager in the field of educational technologies gives him a crucial understanding of the field of education and the role that involved parents and teachers have in the success of their students, especially those who may require additional resources and assistance in order to achieve that success.
David’s data-driven, facts-first mindset comes at a time when our District has been divided by controversy, and he is ready and eager to return to a governance style that puts students and their educational outcomes at the forefront of the conversation.

We need to “fix the underlying causes—school climate, staffing numbers, and resources—not just to prevent employee demoralization, but because that’s how a proper workplace should operate.”
Teachers Aren't Burnt Out. They Are Being Set Up to Fail (Opinion) Instead of scapegoating teachers, let's look at the real causes of workplace stress and demoralization, writes best-selling author and teacher Alexandra Robbins.

The time is now! For too long elementary educators in TVUSD have endured doing more with less. Elementary educators only have 150 minutes of preparation time compared to colleagues in secondary with just under 250 minutes. With the addition of an increased number of arts teachers for next year, elementary NEEDS to have access to increased contractually guaranteed preparation time. It is time to provide the time needed within the contract day to support the planning, grading, and communication to execute the top learning environments they provide for their students and families.
