As a REALTOR we do not get paid an hourly wage or salary and we only get paid if we sell a home; As an agent you could work with someone days, weeks, months, or years with no guarantee of a sale.

However, the amazing relationships that are built during this time with every potential client make the process rewardable and worth it❤️

We dedicate time away from family, use our gas, pay for babysitters, miss dinner and weekends and seldomly take vacations (or plan our vacations at the least ideal vacation times like Christmas and Thanksgiving) as not to impede our buyers or sellers ability to get the sale❤️

We are on 24/7 because you probably won’t be looking for houses during the day when your employer expects you to be working to make the money you need to make to buy the house you want. We understand that👍🏻

Yes! Every piece of furniture is in place. And my little toe even checks the furniture when it’s not in place.

Tonight there was an older lady (name not mentioned for her protection), wandering around and stopping in front of my house. My daughter was just leaving for home, and she asked this lady if she could help her. The lady was lost and couldn’t remember where her grandson lived. We walked around the community, looking for her home. She clearly had Alzheimer’s or dementia. She didn’t know her grandson’s name, where he lived, and said things that just didn’t make sense. After walking around for a while, in the cold, up and down the streets, we decided I should call the police for help. Just before I did, we walked up another street, and my daughter asked her if she recognized the area and the homes. She then remembered the color and make of the car up the street being where her grandson lived. I walked up to the door first, to make sure. The door was open and so was the garage door. I looked through the screen door and the TV was on. I rang the bell and no one came. I kept saying “hello!” No one came. Rang the bell and knocked on the door again. Finally someone came to the door (I know this person, but never knew the old lady stayed there). The woman at the door didn’t even know that this elderly lady had been missing for such a long time and her husband was walking the dog and didn’t know either. She scolded the poor confused lady, and then told her she was not allowed to go on walks again. When we walked away, my daughter told me that this lady smelled of urine. I’m praying that the grandson (if that’s who he really is) takes better care of her than the woman at the door. I’m glad that it was my daughter that found her and not someone who might harm her. My daughter is so sweet, and reassured her while respecting her and asking questions. I’m glad that now we know where she lives and can help her find her home sooner next time. The next time I see her, I hope to communicate with her and show her gentleness and kindness.
