As mentioned earlier, fruit helps stabilize your blood sugar. When your blood sugar crashes, it takes your energy along with it. In other words, too little sugar can make you feel positively exhausted, which makes sense since every cell in our body uses it for energy. While processed sugars found in junk food do far more harm than good, a little bit of it combined with the other nutrients found in low-sugar fruit is a good energy booster. So, when you start to feel that midday slump hit, grab a piece of fruit! Just stick with low-sugar options, like avocado, guavas, raspberries, papayas, cantaloupes and strawberries.

Add fruit and vegetables to your favorite family recipes or as additions to your usual menus. Use the colour and texture of a variety of fruit and vegetables to add interest to your meals. Think up new ways to serve fruits and vegetables. Some simple ways to serve fruits and vegetables include: fruit and vegetable salads vegetable or meat-and-vegetable stir-fries raw fruit and vegetables vegetable soups snack pack, stewed or canned fruits or dried fruits. Fruits and vegetables can be eaten fresh, cooked, frozen, canned, or dried, which gives you plenty of options when it comes to adding them to your meals. Here are some ideas on how you can incorporate a variety of fruits and vegetables in your diet. Cook vegetables to go with your dinner. The options to add vegetables to your dinner are endless. Try baking a sweet potato, steaming broccoli, or grilling asparagus. If you want a simpler option, try cutting up all your vegetables and roasting them all on the same sheet pan. Use frozen fruits and vegetables in a smoothie. This is a great way to get nutrients while enjoying a cold treat. Smoothies are also easy on the digestive system because of the consistency. You can also add yogurt or a nut butter if you dont like the taste of the fruit and veggies alone. Eat fresh or dried fruit as a snack. If you dont want to prepare fresh fruit nor have a way to keep it cold, try dried fruit. Dried fruit is easy to take with you anywhere and can be added to snacks such as yogurt or granola. Eat fresh vegetables with a dip. If you don't like snacking on vegetables alone, try eating them with a dip such as hummus, ranch, or tzatziki. Make sure that you check the nutritional facts of the dip to ensure its a healthy choice.

Tuna is a lean, red-fleshed fish that can be served raw (in sushi and sashimi) or cooked. Tuna is sold as steaks or sometimes as a "loin" (a chunk the size and shape of a pork loin) that can be roasted. There are several different species of tuna, but the most common type at the market is yellowfin. Bluefin, the traditional choice for sushi, is somewhat moister than yellowfin and the fattiest of the tuna species. Both are deep red in color, while albacore tuna is cream to light pink. Tuna is a good choice for grilling as steaks or kebabs and tastes excellent saut饤 or roasted. The tough skin is inedible. Dark areas of meat have a stronger flavor and can be cut off if you prefer. When tuna is overcooked it tends to dry out, so it's best prepared medium-rare to rare. Similar fish include swordfish, striped bass and mahi-mahi.
