STANDING WIDE LEG FORWARD FOLD 🧘​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​💫Benefits:
stretching and releasing tension in the hamstrings, calves, and lower back. It also improves flexibility in the hips and spine, stimulates digestion, and promotes relaxation by calming the mind. Additionally, it can help improve posture and balance over time.

💫Tips:

1. Stance: Start with a wide stance, feet parallel to each other, and toes pointing slightly inward.

2. Alignment: Keep your spine long and your chest open. Engage your core to support your lower back.

3. Hinging at the Hips: Initiate the forward fold by hinging at your hips rather than rounding your spine. Imagine leading with your chest as you fold forward.

4. Hands Placement: Place your hands on the floor directly beneath your shoulders. You can also use blocks if reaching the floor is challenging.

5. Grip: Hold onto your ankles or grab the outer edges of your feet with your hands to deepen the stretch.

6. Breathing: Focus on steady, deep breaths. Inhale to lengthen the spine, and exhale to deepen the fold

BIKRAM YOGA: THE 26&2 PRESCRIPTION FOR HEALTH!​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​This sequence is designed to build each posture upon the last, preparing your body for the asanas that come next.

You start with pranayama breathing to invigorate yourself and set your intention. Then gradually wake your body up to its maximum flexibility, circulation, endurance, and oxygenation over the course of the class.

The more you come, the more you can see and feel how the poses work together. Posture by posture you target each part of your body for a revitalizing, therapeutic practice.

Ninety minutes gives you time to be present with yourself, learn something new, give all of your effort, and rest fully within each class. In 90 minutes you get the chance not only to push yourself, but also to explore stillness, an integral part of the balance of a hatha yoga class.
