After facing the challenges of losing two jobs and experiencing homelessness, Gerald turned to LSSSC for support. Here, he was met with dignity and respect, connected to vital resources, and provided with a compassionate case manager.
Last August, Gerald joined our Resident Volunteer Program, finding a sense of belonging and purpose. After a short time and with the support of his LSSSC team Gerald secured employment, began saving, and utilized our housing resources to find an apartment in Redlands.
We are overjoyed to celebrate Gerald’s journey to self-sustainability and are honored to have played a role in his success.
Will you join us in uplifting individuals like Gerald?

Amidst a turbulent past, Christine found solace and support within the embrace of LSSSC. Moved by the culture of hope and acceptance at our pantry, she chose to reciprocate by joining our dedicated team of volunteers.
Despite facing adversities like CPS interventions, foster care, and parental struggles with addiction, she persevered. With guidance from our LSS Riverside director, Christine embarked on a path of renewal. She secured her California ID, established a stable residence, and embraced her faith through baptism. Today, three years sober, Christine balances two jobs while pursuing higher education at Riverside Community College.
Christine's triumph over adversity is a testament to the transformative impact of our mission. We are humbled to have played a part in her journey towards a brighter future. Together, let us extend our hand to others like Christine, guiding them towards a path of hope and opportunity.
