📢 We offer the incredible benefits of Electrical Stimulation here at PT Link Physical Therapy 💪
Electrical Stimulation, also known as E-Stim, is a therapeutic technique that uses electrical currents to stimulate muscles and nerves, aiding in the recovery and rehabilitation process.
Here are some key benefits:
1️⃣ Pain Relief: E-Stim can help alleviate pain by blocking pain signals to the brain, reducing discomfort and promoting relaxation.
2️⃣ Muscle Strengthening: Electrical currents delivered through E-Stim can stimulate muscle contractions, helping to build strength and improve muscle tone.
3️⃣ Improved Range of Motion: By targeting specific muscle groups, E-Stim can assist in increasing flexibility and range of motion, allowing for better joint mobility.
4️⃣ Edema Reduction: Electrical Stimulation can help reduce swelling and inflammation by promoting blood circulation and lymphatic drainage.
5️⃣ Muscle Re-Education: E-Stim can be used to retrain muscles that may have weakened or lost function due to injury or neurological conditions, improving coordination and motor control.
6️⃣ Faster Recovery: By enhancing blood flow and stimulating tissue repair, E-Stim can aid in the healing process, potentially accelerating recovery time.
7️⃣ Reduced Muscle Spasms: Electrical currents delivered through E-Stim can help relax muscle spasms and reduce muscle tightness, providing relief and improving comfort.
So, if you're seeking an effective method to enhance your physical therapy experience, ask your physical therapist about the electrical stimulation therapy and the “Neubie Machine”.
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Another 5-star review! 🎉🥳 Thank you for your continued support and love for our physical therapy team! Your satisfaction is our top priority! 😊
What’s the difference between kinesio tape and athletic tape? 🤔
➡️ Athletic tape, also known as sports tape, is ideal for providing stability to injured muscles and joints. It’s non-elastic property supports and immobilizes the area to prevent further injury. Sports tape compresses the muscles and restricts blood flow to reduce swelling, but should only be applied between 30 minutes to 2 hours.
➡️ Kinesio tape is best for maintaining muscle and joint movement and alignment. It is made of a flexible, breathable cotton, which can provide support and stability while also allowing full range of motion. Kinesio tape gently pulls the skin and reduces pressure and inflammation.

⬇️ This memory from 4 years ago today! 🌟
A captured moment to reflect on the power of having fun and how it can relieve tension, stress, and body aches. 🎉✨ Sometimes, all it takes is a little bit of playfulness to loosen up our pain!
Life can be overwhelming and fighting through physical discomfort can leave us feeling helpless and discouraged at times. Whether it's dancing, laughing with friends, or indulging in a hobby you love—these moments of fun can work wonders for our overall wellbeing.
In fact, it can even release endorphins, our natural feel-good chemicals, which help reduce stress and promote relaxation.
People often ask, “what’s the difference” and this is one good example. PT Link provides professional treatment plans but we try to add some fun to the appointment too! We like to see our patients smile 🙂
🎈🌻
Top of the mornin’ to ya!! ☘️ May the luck of the Irish be with you on your road to recovery! Happy St. Patrick’s Day weekend, everyone! Stay safe out there! 🍻

Volume Up ! 📣 The Achilles tendon, located at the back of your ankle, plays a crucial role in allowing you to walk, run, and jump. However, it’s prone to injuries, such as ruptures or tears, which can be quite debilitating. In some cases, procedures like tendon grafts or lengthening may be required.💔😟
Here are a few key points to know post injury or post surgery:
✅ Rehabilitation: After surgery, a period of rehabilitation is crucial for a successful recovery. Physical therapy exercises, stretching, and strengthening exercises will help restore mobility, flexibility, and strength to the tendon.
✅ Recovery Time: It’s important to note that recovering from Achilles tendon surgery takes time and patience. The timeline can vary depending on various factors, but it generally takes several months for full recovery and return to normal activities.
✅ Benefits: Achilles tendon rehabilitation can provide long-term benefits, including improved strength, stability, and reduced risk of re-injury. It’s a significant step towards getting back to the activities you love.
It’s essential to consult with a qualified physical therapist from PT Link Physical Therapy who can guide you through the process and provide personalized care. 💪❤️
❤️ Happy Valentine’s Day from all of us at PT Link Physical Therapy
Did you know that neck pain can contribute to tension headaches?
💆♂️Tightness and tension in the muscles of the neck and upper back, also known as trigger points, can radiate into the head, leading to tension-type headaches. The pain is often described as a constant, band-like pressure around the head.
💆♂️These types of headaches can be caused by multiple factors including stress, poor posture, anxiety, or lack of sleep.
💆♂️Soft tissue and joint mobilization will use gentle movements and massaging techniques to reduce tension, improve blood flow, and mobility.

🥶 walk with caution, the sidewalks are slippery🥶
PT Link Physical Therapy offers ‘balance and gait’ training which can help prevent falling down or slipping on ice during the winter season.
🚶♂️Balance and gait play an important role in allowing a person to walk and run properly. Balance keeps the body upright and gait is the pattern of movement in the legs and arms.
🚶♂️Neurological disorders like strokes, multiple sclerosis, or Parkinson's disease are a few conditions that can result in poor balance and an abnormal gait, which can lead to injuries from falling.
🚶♂️Balance and gait training exercises improve strength, joint mobility, coordination, and muscle memory. The training involves exercises that emphasize proper foot placement, weight shifting, and stride length. By practicing these techniques, individuals can develop better control over their movements and adapt to slippery conditions more effectively.
🥶 Is the cold weather causing pain and stiffness? Try to stay WARM this weekend with a HEATING PAD.
🔥 Heating pads are a common physical therapy treatment that can be used for muscle pains and joint stiffness that can result from injuries, overuse, or medical conditions.
🔥 Heat helps blood vessels around joints and muscles to expand which relaxes the tissues and increases circulation to the painful area. Increased circulation to the injured body part helps to bring in nutrients, oxygen, and cells that promote healing.
