It might not seem like that long ago but launched its Little People Play Family in 1959, by 1970s the little wooden bodied families came with a farm, school set, train station and many more scenes that were then marketed as Little People Villages.

Crazy to think that in 1970 this toy company was trying to make a push and market the fact kids needed less battery operated toys; trying to combat the release of the first home video game Pong ... ( another lesson on that later). I wonder how the sales team members feel about "kids toys nowadays days"🤔

Which Little People set did you have growing up ? I had the farm but by the 80s little people were plastic .

Every American was issued a series of ration books during the war. The ration books contained removable stamps good for certain rationed items, like sugar, meat, cooking oil, and canned goods. A person could not buy a rationed item without also giving the grocer the right ration stamp.

And people currently complaining about the McDonald's BBQ dipping sauce shortage 😑😆

Ok 1947 🤦‍♀️ ... I can't imagine my loud 'say as you please' grandmother following the guidelines to make sure her husband succeeded before and beyond her. She was a nurse, she also raised 4 kids. She started her own chocolate business from home while raising those kids (and grandkids) ..... grandma gave plenty of opinions where they weren't asked for for a woman of the 40s Era 🤣❤ but im sure glad I had her as a role model in my life .

When you're trying to convince your partner you need more yarn, sometimes you have to get creative 🤣🤣

I always want to take old book illustrations and mount them, but I can't bring myself to destroy the book 📚📖

The Lovable Brassiere Company founded in 1926 shocked the social norms by introducing push up and padded bras to the market at a price suitable for "everyone ". .... fast forward to 1998, Walmart being Lovables largest distributor of their brand rewrote the contact to make it impossible for Lovable to make a profit while keeping their mission statement of making good looking, fashionable bras for the everyday woman, and they closed ...... thanks Walmart...

Apparently it's Fur and Taxidermy month on our picking trips 🤷🏻‍♀️ who wants this sweet fur coozie?! 🤣🙋‍♀️

As much as I enjoy the luxury of taking pictures any time I want with my phone , filters, and all the editing tools we have in our pockets..... I still am fascinated with early photography and cameras 📷 ❤🖤🐑
