He has work experience in residential treatment (for adults and teens), community mental health, hospitals, teletherapy, and in clients’ homes. We are looking to hiring a medical billing specialist position within our company. It is part time but may be able to work to full time in the future.

Job duties include:

-Submitting claims to insurance companies
- Following up on outstanding insurance claims and adjusting as necessary
- Processing denials
- Obtain new insurance information from patients
- Answer patient questions about their bill
-Assist in credentialing/re-credentialing needs for clinicians

Experience:

- Previous experience working in a mental health setting or medical office preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, coding systems (ICD-10), and medical records

Requirements

- Valid Driver's License
- Excellent attention to detail
- High school diploma or GED
- Able to pass a background check
- Authorized to work in the USA

After training, it can be a remote/work from home position. May require some in-person office time every quarter. Hours are flexible but the hours between 9am- 8pm is where the majority of work will need to be completed. Pay ranges from $16-20/hour depending on experience.

Meet our Practice Owner, Darci Alston. Tooele Valley Counseling was founded in September of 2020. Darci was determined to provide quality mental health care to her local, rural community. The ability to have a flexible schedule to see clients while also tending to her two small children empowered her to provide better care to her clients as her needs at home were taken care of. As the need grew for services, the expansion came to add more clinicians to the team. The business model of empowerment continued as she strives to empower clinicians and staff to create their own work/life balance. Fun fact: The Tooele Valley Counseling team has welcomed three babies amongst our team since being founded with a fourth this upcoming year! Talk about empowering women! 👶🏻👶🏽👶🏼👶🏻
