Are you tossing away half-squeezed oranges in your rush to find new fruit?
โHow often do you chase new marketing strategies before fully optimizing your current channels?
โAre you developing new products while your existing lineup still has untapped potential?
โWhen was the last time you thoroughly mined your current client base for growth opportunities?
Big, sustainable, growth is often hiding in plain sight, NOT in the next 'revolutionary' idea.
There's magic in learning how to squeeze every last drop from what's already working:
It's less sexy. It takes focus and discipline. And most entrepreneurs have a compulsive prediliction for the NEW and INNOVATIVE.
And that's important too. But that's the icing. Not the cupcake.
FOCUS ON THE CUPCAKE:
๐งMarketing: Refine and scale your successful campaigns before jumping to new platforms.
๐งProduct Development: Evolve your winners before creating new offerings.
๐งClient Growth: Master the art of cross-sells, upsells, and expansions. Your best new client might be an old one.
Or if you don't like sweets... how about citrus?
๐You don't just need NEW oranges.
๐Get every drop of juice from the ones you already have.
NEW is high effort.
Maximize what you already have.
Do more of what you already know works.
Get more out of what's already showing promise.
This week, resist the urge to start something new. Instead, squeeze harder on what you already have.

We've all been there.
Standing at a crossroads, fog thick around us, unsure which path to take.
It's in these moments that many of us freeze, paralyzed by the fear of making the wrong choice.
But here's the thing about entrepreneurship - and life, really: perfect clarity is a myth. There's no cosmic sign that'll point you in the right direction.
So what do we do when the road ahead is unclear? We lean into confidence and courage. Confidence isn't about knowing it all. It's trusting in your ability to learn and adapt. Courage isn't fearlessness. It's acting despite your fears.
So the next time you're feeling lost in indecision, ask yourself: "๐ช๐ต๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ผ๐๐น๐ฑ ๐ ๐ฑ๐ผ ๐ถ๐ณ ๐ ๐ต๐ฎ๐ฑ ๐ฐ๐ผ๐บ๐ฝ๐น๐ฒ๐๐ฒ ๐ฐ๐ผ๐ป๐ณ๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐ถ๐ป ๐บ๐๐๐ฒ๐น๐ณ? ๐ช๐ต๐ฎ๐ ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฝ ๐๐ผ๐๐น๐ฑ ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ธ๐ฒ ๐ถ๐ณ ๐ ๐น๐ฒ๐ ๐ฐ๐ผ๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ด๐ฒ ๐น๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฑ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ฎ๐?"
Then take that step. Because sometimes, action creates clarity.

We all have those moments.
The ones where we pause, look around, and question if we're on the right track. If our struggles, doubts, and fears are just part of the journey or if we've somehow veered off course.
๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฒ'๐ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ฟ๐๐๐ต:There's no "normal" in entrepreneurship. Each journey is as unique as the idea that sparked it. But that doesn't mean you have to go it alone.
Your questions, your doubts - they're not signs of weakness. They're proof that you're pushing boundaries, challenging the status quo, and daring to create something meaningful.
So the next time you find yourself wondering "Is this normal?" remember: you're not meant to fit into someone else's definition of success. You're here to define it for yourself.
Let's flip the script. Instead of asking if it's normal, ask yourself: "๐๐ ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ ๐ฎ๐๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐น๐น๐ ๐บ๐ฒ? ๐๐ ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ ๐บ๐ผ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐บ๐ฒ ๐ฐ๐น๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐๐ผ ๐บ๐ ๐๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป?" Those are the questions that truly matter.

Let's get real for a second....
As founders, we're bombarded with the pressure to make flawless decisions. But here's the truth: perfection is a myth that can paralyze us.
I've been there, agonizing over choices, afraid to pull the trigger. But you know what? The most successful entrepreneurs I've met aren't perfect decision-makers. They're adaptable problem-solvers.
Your job isn't to predict the future. It's to gather solid intel, trust your gut, and be ready to pivot when things inevitably go sideways.
So next time you're stuck, remember: a good decision now beats a "perfect" decision that never happens. Take action, learn fast, and keep moving forward.
What's a tough call you're wrestling with right now? Drop it in the comments โ let's brainstorm together and get you unstuck.

Nature knows.

Both solidity and evolution.
It trusts in permanence instead of resisting either growth or decay.

It's not your job to KNOW.
If you listen to that insecurity, you WILL limit growth.
Yours. Your Team's. And your Company.
The pressure to always know, to always be right, can be suffocating. It stifles creativity, hinders growth, and breeds a culture of false confidence that ultimately leads nowhere.
The MOST successful entrepreneurs start with questions, not answers.
They built empires on curiosity, not certainty.
Leadership is nothing more than coordinating OTHER people's brains and effort. Surface the questions. Enroll other brains. Think of it like scaling.... YOUR BRAIN.
Imagine if we normalized saying "I'm not sure, but let's figure it out together"?
How might that change our businesses, our teams, and our lives?

Burnout isn't just exhaustion.
It's a thief, robbing you of your sharpest thinking when you need it most.
Your mind is your greatest asset but when fatigue sets in, that brilliant problem-solver gets fuzzy.
The nuanced decisions that could make or break your next move? They become a struggle.
I've been there. The late nights, the constant pressure, the feeling that every choice carries impossible weight. It's why I now dedicate myself to being that lifeline for founders and entrepreneurs pushing through rapid growth and acquisition phases.
Your energy isn't just about productivity โ it's the fuel for your most innovative thinking. It's what helps you see opportunities others miss and navigate the storm when everyone else is panicking.
Don't let exhaustion steal your edge. Your team, your investors, your vision โ they all deserve the best version of you at the helm.

Does that voice in your head say you should always be crushing it, grinding 24/7, living your best life?
Tell it to S**U.
This work is messy. It's hard. And sometimes, it just plain sucks.
You're allowed to feel frustrated when that pitch falls flat.
You're allowed to be discouraged when the numbers don't add up.
You're allowed to scream into a pillow when it all feels like too much.
Not just allowed.... REQUIRED. Expected. Necessary. IMPORATANT
Those feelings are *DATA*
They're telling you something important. Maybe it's time to pivot. Maybe it's time to rest. Or maybe it's just your gut reminding you that you're pushing boundaries and doing something that matters.
Having feelings doesn't make you weak. It makes you human.
Plus, the real strength is not in pretending everything's fine. It's in acknowledging the rough patches, sitting with the discomfort, getting some suport, or respite.
And then getting back up.
The next time you're feeling like a failure because you're not eternally optimistic, remember that your feelings aren't just valid, they're part of the process,
AND they're often the exact data you need to discern where to zig and where to zag.
What's one emotion that never makes it into your highlight reel? If sharing in the comments is too raw, shoot me a message. But if you DO share below, we could nudge closer to normalizing the full spectrum of the entrepreneurial experience - warts and all.

Being a CEO is kinda like trying to hit a moving target while riding a unicycle.
Blindfolded.
Drew Houseton of Dropbox shares some great insights into the insides of being a Founder...
โข Your job description changes every few months
โข Skills that got you here might hold you back now
โข The chessboard is bigger than just building a product
โข No one is born a CEO - it's all learned on the job
Remember when you thought building a killer product was enough? Ha. Welcome to the chessboard the sprawls and shifts.
Suddenly, you're juggling market strategies, business models, and team dynamics - all while pretending you've done this before. (Or, at least feeling like you need to)

Why did I shift away from "coaching" to "On-Call Decision Support?
Becuase when the landscape is constantly shifting, there is no map. You need ORIENTING skills.
Why do founders & leaders need and want that service?
1. Indecision is a silent killer. We're told to be thoughtful, but there's a fine line between caution and paralysis. I've watched good ideas wither on the vine because someone couldn't pull the trigger.
2. People are puzzles, and sometimes the pieces don't fit. That Dream Team you imagined? It's more like herding cats. Every new hire is a gamble, and if you're not careful, org charts can become works of abstract art.
3. You need a BS detector - preferably external. It's easy to get lost in your own head. Sometimes you need someone who can see through the story, to the truths that need to surface.
4. The hardest question: "Is it me?" Self-awareness is crucial, but it's a double-edged sword. Sometimes you're the visionary. Sometimes you're the roadblock. Figuring out which is a constant battle. You need someone who can see all the pieces, but isn't caught up in them.
5. "Business puberty" is real, and it's awkward as hell. And it happens at multiple stages. Ex: around 18-24 employees, things get reallllllly weird. Suddenly, what looks like a people problem is actually a systems failure. Your processes haven't kept up with your growth, and now everyone's feeling the friction.
No one has it all figured out. We're all just making it up as we go along, trying not to break too many things in the process.
What's your current quicksand? Drop it in the comments.

Leadership isn't about being a lone wolf. It's about building a pack that hunts together.
I've seen too many leaders suffocate under the weight of their own authority. They cling to control like it's a life raft, not realizing it's actually an anchor.
True strength? It's in letting go. It's trusting your team enough to hand over the reins. It's about creating a culture where accountability isn't a threat, but a shared goal.
When you delegate effectively, you're not passing the buck. You're passing the torch. You're lighting fires of innovation and ownership across your organization.
And let's be real - your decisions are only as good as the insights informing them. By empowering your team, you're tapping into a wellspring of diverse perspectives. Suddenly, you're not just making choices; you're crafting solutions.
This shift isn't easy. It requires vulnerability, trust, and a willingness to be wrong. But the payoff? A leadership team that moves as one, operations that flow like water, and decisions that actually stick.
So ask yourself: Are you still trying to be the smartest person in the room? Or are you ready to build a room full of smart people?
What's holding you back from truly empowering your team? Share your thoughts below. Let's tackle this together.

For many leaders, the loneliness & isolation comes from having few spaces where they can be completely honest and real about their struggles.
When you're constantly managing an image, itโs easy to feel isolated. This isolation can make the burden of leadership feel heavier and the path forward more uncertain.
The pressure to maintain a faรงade often prevents leaders from seeking out ways and places to show up as their true selves, contributing to feelings of loneliness and burnout.
It's no secret that is a huge part of why I created On-Call Support for leaders.
But finding ways to lessen isolation isn't only about having an off-sides place to talk things through.
A study by the ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ฝ found that leaders who are open and authentic build stronger relationships with their teams, leading to higher trust and collaboration.
How can you begin to find ways and places where you can drop the mask? Not sure how? DM Me.

Burning the candle at both ends? You're burning your potential too.
Running on empty? Newsflash: It's dragging down your entire team.
Prioritizing your energy isn't some fluffy self-care nonsense. It's the backbone of effective leadership. When you're running on fumes, your decision-making turns to mush, your creativity flatlines, and your ability to inspire....? Let's just say you're about as inspiring as a wet blanket.
Still not convinced? โก๏ธA Harvard Business Review study found that a whopping 96% of senior leaders are burning out. One-third are at their breaking point. This isn't just a personal problemโit's a leadership epidemic that's poisoning productivity and draining team morale.
Think managing your energy is selfish? Think again. Your brain is your greatest asset, and optimizing your cognition should be your top priority. You're setting the standard for everyone on your team.
It's time for a hard look in the mirror:
โHow are you managing your energy today?
โWhat half-assed excuses are you making for neglecting yourself?
โMore importantly, what are you going to do about it?
Your team deserves better than depleted, caffeine-fueled leadership.
It's time to step up, recharge, and lead like you mean it.
Or are you content being just another burnout statistic?

Is it you, them, or something else entirely?
"Am I the problem?" If you're not asking it, you're already on thin ice. But here's the twist: Assuming you're always the problem is just as dangerous as never considering it at all.
It's easy to point fingers when things go south, but it takes real guts to turn that finger back on yourself. Are your decisions creating unexpected roadblocks? Is your leadership style empowering your team or leaving them deflated?
HOWEVER โ before you spiral into a pit of self-doubt, remember this: Thereโs no value in self-flagellation. What you need is razor-sharp discernment.
Sometimes you're the problem. Sometimes you're not.
The trick is figuring out which is which.
Recognizing your own shortcomings is the express lane to personal and organizational growth. But taking the blame when it's not yours?
That's a one-way ticket to Ineffectiveville. Population: you.
This question isnโt an invitation to stroke your ego OR tear yourself down. It's an opportunity to get to the CORE truth and act on it.
Still unsure if you're the bottleneck or the breakthrough? Don't let uncertainty paralyze you. Leadership is a journey, not a destination, and sometimes we all need a navigator.
Reach out to a mentor, a coach, trusted advisor, or book a call with me. An outside perspective might be what you need to cut through the noise.

Youโre not just building the plane as you fly it. Youโre ALSO auditioning the crew.
When that plane is making those concerning noises, it can be tricky discerning whether itโs mechanical or human error. To mix metaphors, itโs like playing 3D chess on a rollercoaster.
But before you spiral into an existential crisis every time youโre tempted to reorg the orgโฆ take a breath.
This uncertainty? It's normal.
Painful? Yes. But normal.
So how do you navigate this perfect storm of structural uncertainty and talent acquisition? Here's your turbulence survival guide:
1. Flex That Org Chart: Your structure should be as agile as your development process. Don't carve it in stone; sketch it in sand. Be ready to redraw those lines as your needs evolve.
2. Hire for Potential, Not Just Experience: In this flux, adaptability trumps a perfect resume. Look for quick learners who can adapt and maybe even wear multiple hats.
3. Communicate Like Your Startup Depends on It (Because It Does): Be transparent about the state of flux. Set expectations that roles may shift. You're not flip-flopping; you're "iterating on organizational design." Sounds fancier, doesn't it? To be clear, this should be done as infrequently as possible. But donโt be afraid to do it when needed.
4. Create Role Overlaps: In the early days, wildly clear-cut responsibilities are a luxury. Design roles that have fuzzy edges. It's not inefficiency; it's building in redundancy and flexibility. Distinct swim lanes can come later. (Spoiler, then you can start to worry about issues of silo-ing. :)
5. Prioritize Culture Fit: Skills can be learned, but values alignment is gold. In the turbulence of growth, a shared vision acts as your North Star.
6. Don't Neglect Your Current Team: While you're wooing new talent, make sure your OG crew isn't burning out. They're the ones keeping the lights on while you're playing organizational Tetris.
7. Seek Outside Perspective: Sometimes you're too close to see the forest for the trees. A seasoned advisor can offer invaluable insights on structuring for scale.
Remember, every unicorn you admire went through this messy phase. The difference between success and a cautionary tale often lies in how you navigate bumpy air space.
Need a co-pilot? Don't let pride keep you in the fog. Book a call with me, or reach out to mentors who've flown this route before. Their flight logs might just save you from a costly detourโor a full-on crash landing. (But also donโt just assume that what worked for them will work for you.)
Think of your business processes as a living framework. Adapting your standards doesnโt mean youโre doing it wrong; it means youโre staying relevant. This is especially true in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment where change is constant and the market demands agility.
By periodically reviewing and adjusting your standards, you ensure that they continue to serve your business effectively. Itโs about finding that balance between consistency and flexibility. Your standards should guide your team but also leave room for innovation and improvement.
Are your current standards serving your business well, or is it time for a thoughtful adjustment? Letโs discuss how you can maintain a flexible yet robust framework.

Stepping away from the grind isnโt just a breakโitโs a chance to reset and gain fresh perspective. We often get so caught up in the daily rush that we lose sight of the bigger picture. Taking a deliberate pause can lead to breakthroughs that working non-stop never will.
Itโs not about avoiding work but about giving yourself space to recharge and think differently. This brief step back can provide the clarity and creativity needed to tackle challenges more effectively.
So, whenโs the last time you took a step away to refocus? If you havenโt recently, maybe itโs time to schedule that break. Your most innovative ideas might be just a day off away.

It's messy, uncomfortable, and sometimes downright irritating.
But it's also a sign that we're moving forward, shedding old skin, and making way for something new.
Facing challenges and working through them, is uncomfortable situations. But thatโs when we're most likely to grow and learn. Just like my gross blisters ๐คข our personal growth can itch and irritate us, but it's a necessary part of the process.

Often, itโs marked by a series of new challenges that push us out of our comfort zones and force us to adapt. If youโre facing fresh problems, take it as a sign that youโre moving forward and breaking new ground.
Did you know that ๐๐% of startups face major pivot points during their ๐๐ข๐ซ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐ญ๐ก๐ซ๐๐ ๐ฒ๐๐๐ซ๐ฌ?
These pivots often stem from encountering new problems that require innovative solutions. Moreover, studies show that successful entrepreneurs view these challenges as opportunities, not setbacks. Each new problem is a stepping stone, a chance to learn and evolve.
They are indicators that youโre making strides and that your efforts are yielding results.

Ever wish you could turn back time to fix those little mistakes that haunt you?
In business, perfection often feels just out of reach. We laugh at the idea of a time machine for typos, but the truth is, the relentless pursuit of flawlessness can be paralyzing.
As founders and leaders, it's easy to get caught up in the details, obsessing over every slide, every word, and every tiny imperfection. But here's the reality: progress is better than perfection. Those typos wonโt make or break your pitch, but your vision and determination will.
Don't let the fear of minor mistakes hold you back. Learn from them, and move forward.
The true measure of success isn't in flawless ex*****on, but in the ability to adapt, grow, and continue pushing towards your goals despite the bumps along the way.
How do you balance striving for excellence without getting bogged down by the need for perfection? Could you share your thoughts through comments?

I only accept single-session calls from Owners/Leaders.
But it has nothing to do with ego or elitism.
And it's not because I can't help themโfar from it.
The problem is, some leaders are not safe.
If I know nothing about who they work for ... even the best advice, executed perfectly, could put their job at risk.
Lots of leaders tell me they WANT people to come to them with their issues, and I don't think they're lying.
But sometimes they'e not very skilled at making those conversations safe, or productive.
They defend.
They invalidate.
God forbid they RETALIATE.
And that doesn't *just* mean terminating the person.
Sometimes they just exclude them, or side line them, or treat them differently in some other way.
And no... this doesn't mean accepting their feedback at face value without comment or discussion.
Feedback ALWAYS says as much (if not more) about the person giving it than it does YOU.
But.... that's kind of the point. (let that sink in)
It's a gem of an opportunity to understand their perspective.
Maybe they see something you don't. Maybe not. But you won't know without undefended curiousity.
If you don't get much feedback from your folks... this is probably a place to do some work.
Let's chat if you're not sure how.

We often face moments of self-doubt. We question our decisions, our vision, and our sanity. It's easy to feel isolated like no one else truly understands the weight we carry.
But here's the truth: feeling this way is part of the process. Itโs what makes you human and a sign that you're pushing boundaries, challenging norms, and striving for something greater. The moments when you question your sanity are often the ones where you're closest to a breakthrough.

When we see someone hesitating or struggling to make a choice, itโs easy to label them as indecisive. But often, the truth is far simpler and more profound: theyโre just exhausted.
Acknowledging this exhaustion is crucial.
Itโs okay to admit when youโre tired, to step back, and to take care of your well-being. Pushing through without addressing the underlying fatigue can lead to burnout, affecting your health and your ability to lead effectively.
If you find yourself in this place, know that itโs okay to pause. Prioritize rest and recovery, and youโll find that clarity and decisiveness will follow.
