TC Judy Art Glass
Just added Fused Glass pieces to my line of Art Glass. Also use the Tiffany style of copper foil s
Just out of the kiln. Still warm. Total time in the kiln- about 72 hours plus cool down. This is 3/4” thick. Four layers of glass plus the trees which are contour fused.
While in Seattle I took a master class with Fred Buxton on fusing landscape scenes using glass powders, glass frit and five layers of glass. No paints or enamels. This piece is almost 3/4” thick. I have definitely upped my game!
Here are a few of my smaller pieces that I will be exhibiting at the Bethlehem Lutheran Art & Craft Show on November 4th. Come take a look! 🎄
New piece Amber Aspen.
Cherries, grapes, flowers, sea and sand. Come see these and more art at the Northern Michigan Creative Crafters Show on Saturday July 15 at the Traverse City Civic Center. Indoors rain or shine. See you there! 🍒
New commissioned piece. Kayaking in Grand Traverse Bay. When backlit you can see the Metropolis shipwreck in about 15 feet of water. The Metropolis was a double-masted schooner that went down in a snowstorm on November 26, 1886 south of Old Mission Point. I used my own photographs and video of this shipwreck to get the detail. The shipwreck is enamels between two pieces of glass. Five more firings with powders and frit.
Come pick some GLASS flowers at the Spring Art Market at the Dennos Museum this Saturday. Would make a lovely Mother's Day gift. I'll be there from 9:30-4:00.
"When Water Meets Sky" My latest fused glass piece.
My first attempt at using shards of glass for feathers. 8x10 fused glass
I've been thinking about making this piece for quite some time. Finally materialized. This will be featured in my booth at the Dennos Museum Art Market on May 13th - Mother's Day weekend. See you there!

Finally got my Snowy Owl done. 8x10"
Larger panel forest scene. 9x11"
One more bird piece. Blue jay on Wisteria. Thinking spring!
Second piece in my bird series. Three times in the kiln and utilizes sheet glass, powders, frit, stringers and slurry. Top temperature of 1450 for first firing, 1425 for shaping birds and 1325 for fusing it all together. The glass is 1/2 inch thick in some places.
Chickadees! Fresh out of the kiln!
Will be highlighting some of my fused glass Christmas trees at the Art & Craft Show at Bethlehem Lutheran Church this Saturday from 9:00am - 3:00pm. Stop by and have a look!
Here's a few photos of the landscape glass pieces I've been making lately. Gotta love Northern Michigan!
Fun with dichroic glass! 9 1/2" bowl.
These iris flowers last all summer long. Fused glass.
My first glass iris. My color imagination in running wild!
April showers bring... May flowers!!!
Springtime inspirations in fused glass.
"Under The Sea". I've been learning a few new fused glass techniques. So much fun experimenting.
Fresh out of the kiln. "Still" Winter in Northern Michigan.
Been playing around making sea critters. Having so much fun with fused glass.
Can post these now that Christmas gifts have been given. Notice the custom Michigan/Ohio plate. Gifted to a "house divided."
Had some fun experimenting with different aspects like frit, painting with enamels and mica powder. The birch scene is a copy of one I saw at Delphi, unknown artist. The snowflake was casted in a mold and the brown dish is a "striker" glass that changes colors when fired. I used some mica paint for the corner embellishments. Learning so much!
Made this for a special couple for their wedding day. Andy Panda and Mariana.
Never too late for a new interest. I took a three-day class in glass fusing at Delphi in Lansing and am HOOKED! You may have noticed that TC Judy Stained Glass is now TC Judy Art Glass. Hopefully I will become good enough to offer some of my artwork for sale. These are the first pieces I created. More to follow!
