As an artist you never want to truly believe that there will come a time when you are "forced to conform" to the ideals of working a 9 to 5 job. *sigh* haha.....Lucky for me, I found one that I actually kind of enjoy, which this year has provided me with opportunities I never would of dreamed possible...

The possibility to provide for my close loved ones, to finally be able to travel again in the New year ( London, Paris and Italy, I'm coming for you ;)) and one of the bigger and better perks : to upgrade my entire system (Camera, Computer, gear etc...!! So even though I have had to take a long break from really working on anything (photography related), I am excited for this new year and what it will bring. And by no means am I a photographer who believes " the camera makes you" but my baby was great as a starter camera and I hope to pass it on to another who will love and appreciate it as much as I did, but its.... TIME.

It is officially a wrap!! Within the last three days we have defiantly gone off grid and more for shooting this look book!! It's been draining but every single day has been worth it. I look forward to showcasing everyone's hard work! A huge thank you to you all that took part!! Now the fun part of picking our favorites begins...

Yesterday was a day of lessons learned but even after a bumpy start we did manage to pull it together and get everything rolling for Day. One of shooting OFF the GRID collection/ Where in the World Apparel look book.The day involved ALOT of hiking, climbing, sweating and good old fashioned hard work however I am excited for today's part two as we will be ON A BOAT!! :-P. Stay tuned....for now here is a behind the scenes.

WE ARE ON THE HUNT!!! my friends clothing label is looking for models interested in representing their summer collection by being the faces of their look book that we will be shooting at the end of this month. It's a great way to get your face out there as she is well travelled and globally situated. She is home for the summer from Si Lanka and moving to Italy, So we are planning on a three day shooting event. We are looking for young and fresh, friendly, personable people. (Possibly 2-3 female models and 2 males). It's not high fashioned based more of a commercial but artsy feel. Contact me for more details. It's a fun way to score some free swag, some new photographs and video for your book and spend some time with me as I will be shooting and the amazing Sara of OFF the GRID collection. My personal book has been on a little bit of a halt (including testing) but I did manage to squeeze in a Summer Portfolio building session with Shauna, last weekend.

My consistency in posting has slowed down but...I AM still around! slowly working on new summer projects and forever searching for inspiration....

Slowly building up my confidence in working in- studio ( this will be my winter goal!)

I had the lovely job of assisting photographer Jon- Paul in a beauty shoot and this was one of my favourites from my own captures. I was so excited to finally shoot with the stunning, Amanda whom we both had no idea we were working with each other until we arrived on set. Yesterday, Shauna and I braved the elements of Lake Michigan in order to update her portfolio and of course make her feel beautiful :) If anyone had been able to capture a Behind- the- scenes video of this photoshoot you would of all been laughing VERY hard. Imagine harsh winds, numb fingers unable to press down the shutter, random body heat hugs but through it all, Shauna and I taking it like a champ and making it look like a summer day.
