Congratulations to Audio Tech instructor Sam Boase-Miller for being chosen as “Adjunct Faculty of the Year” for 2023-2024! Nominated by students, only one instructor is chosen each year.

Only his 2nd year with Audio Tech, Sam instantly connected with our students and staff. He has made such a positive impact upon each and every student, and could not be more deserving of this honor!

Thanks Sam for all the tremendous work you have been doing, we are so fortunate to have you on the AUD team! 👏👏👏

24 days until we depart for Ireland for the first-ever Audio Study Abroad! Last Friday, we did a little team building at Hickory Hills, where a hike turned into a disc golf free-for-all, since only 2 of us had ever played before…lots of fun, couldn’t ask for a better group of students! 🤠🥏🇮🇪✈️

Though I've officially retired from teaching Avid Pro Tools, we are still offering audio education in various forms. An intern from Alma College is working with us for ten weeks, just finished tutoring two students from NMC Audio Technology, and we have a few private Pro Tools students lined up. Contact us if you'd like to set up some time for yourself.

Last week's field trip to the Traverse City Opera House was such a great experience for our 2nd year students, thanks so much to Joe Bearss for welcoming us in and for sharing your expertise!

The Audio Tech Student Group took a field trip to Eugene’s Record Co-op yesterday, picking out some new records to add to the Founders Hall library…CSNY, Ramones, Hendrix, James Taylor, Kendrick…👏👏👏

In honor of International Women’s Day, big shout out to Maria Ulrich, live sound expert and consummate professional. Our students are so fortunate to be able to learn from Maria, and our program thanks you for all you do!

Our 2nd Annual **Spring Open House @ Founders Hall** has been scheduled for Friday, April 5th! Open to all members of the public between 2-6pm, so come on by and check out the studio! 🎛️🎤🕺

Then, on Saturday, April 6th, there will be a **Free Recording Seminar** at Founders Hall from 2-4pm, also open to all people of all ages!🎙️🎸🤠

Running FOH and live-streaming the Robert Abate Trio at Milliken Auditorium last week during Internship/Final Project classes. Students did a great job, and a big thank you to Robert and the band for putting in a great show!

Visited Harbor Springs High School last Friday to talk with students in their Audio/Video program! That’s NMC Audio Tech student Nick Spencer in their “Whisper Room” - thanks Nick for making the trip and providing a student perspective on our program. Also, thanks to program director Jason Byma for having us, you’re doing really great things up there!
