The youngest Panda Paws Rescuer turned ONE today!! My granddaughter, Joanne, is the sweeeeetest little lady. She is so smart and she is a mega lover of all animals. If you have an animal, I can 100000% guarantee she will be snuggling it if given the chance! One of my favorite things about her is her giggle....... it is intoxicating and so sincere. Happy Birthday little squish! Jade is the best momma bear to this little humanitarian cub!

This waste of oxygen, 25-year-old Isaac Booker Justham, has been arrested. That said, Oregon and ALL other 49 states, WHEN IS ENOUGH ENOUGH? A slap on his wrist, a little jail time (if that) and a fine (minimal) is not justice. Animal abusers need to be treated like child abusers. Violence on another living being, especially a vulnerable person or animal, should carry a MUCH steeper punishment that is allowed right now. You can see in the video, if you know animal behavior, this is not the first time and the dog has been conditioned to this type of treatment. There is no fight or flight, just submission and complacency, even in severe pain from lashings over and over and over to the body and her face. She eventually goes into shock and is flat on her side, later to be carried out of the elevator.... imagine what we DON'T see that has happened to this dog.

Animal abusers are the WORST and they go on predominantly to abuse humans and other vulnerable children/elderly/women/etc. The man allegedly (CLEARLY on video) hit the dog with a heavy rope on Aug. 2 and hung the animal from a fire extinguisher to repeatedly kick it, according to police.

The "book" being thrown at this waste of space isn't enough and no "example" truly will be made out of him. LAWS MUST CHANGE so that even though animals are "property" they are protected just like if this was a 3 year old toddler in her spot. Period. I have done a ton of political help in Michigan.... maybe the politicians I know well would like to make Michigan a blue print ASAP for the rest of the Nation to follow suit. It's long over due and while it costs the states money to prosecute cases like this, it is priceless for our communities at large.

On top of this, the abuser is refusing to say where the dog is located. S/he is still missing. Isaac Booker Justham, there is zero forgiveness for you.

Frosty girl!! You got to see her as a wee kitten with wild woman hair.... and here she is at 1 years old!! Gorgeous hydrocephalic sweetheart!

It is scorching HOT out!! Make sure you have cold, fresh water out for your animals and wildlife at all times!!

That’s right, I am coming back to the Pacific Northwest ASAP! It is long overdue and I cannot wait to be home and back to doing what I have loved the most in my life other than raising my children - major medical, special-needs and hospice animals.

New kid! I walked into our incredible Urgent Care clinic (Omni Vet) to pick up some medication’s for a very sick golden retriever and timing couldn’t be more spot on! This little girl was dropped off by a good Samaritan that thought she was hit by a car, but it turns out that instead she is very sick. Right now she is running 106° fever so once that is down, we can bring her out of hospitalization and do the rest of her TLC at home. We are going to assume responsibility for her and her medical care to nurse her back to health and eventually get her spayed and find her a great family! In the meantime, she needs a unique name! 

Pleads "Not Guilty" ... when it is blatantly clear he is guilty! We MUST make examples out of animal abusers NOW all across America. We need a registry for animal abusers in every single state, just like we have for pedophiles. The VAST majority of all violent crimes on humans are inflicted by people who have had a history of abusing animals. So if we aren't protecting the voiceless animals, then we surely aren't protecting our human loved ones either. Enough is enough.

This is how Violet is spending her 4th of July at just 4 days old! She's the sweetest most velvety girl. I really, really hope that she pulls through & beats the odds against her. To hopefully help tip the scales towards her favor, I'll be going to 30 minute, smaller feeds rather than every hour. Slow & steady... I believe in her. ❤️💙

Alas, it is finally Skipper's turn to toot her own horn and announce that she is officially adopted!!! Skipper came into Panda Paws Rescue's care last October with a severe PDA (heart condition) that required surgery. Her first few months of life she was suffering in a puppy mill in Ohio without any care or contact. So much so, that the puppy mill breeder didn't even notice that she was a female and when released & we took her in believing she was a male. After almost a year of vet appointments, surgery, post-op care, going into heat just as her spay day arrived, personal training regularly because she is a spicy Portuguese Water Dog smarter than us mere humans.... she is finally adopted by her foster family! Geoff & Whitney Reijonen have been a huge asset to Panda Paws Rescue & my passion for helping differently abled children for the last 8 years. Geoff proudly serves on the board, he served our country in the military & as a police officer his entire adult life. He was a huge aspect of helping me bring J (little guy with no nose for all of you long term supporters) over from China in 2015. In a nutshell, I have been blessed to call them friends and family! Now, Skipper gets to as well!! She has them wrapped around every little curl on her body! I simply adore this adoption and am so grateful for their passion for what we do, their belief in adoption and advocacy for the major medical cases we strive to help!

Lily had her intake exam at Guardian Veterinary Care this week. She is apparently healthy and ready to find her forever family. She is a little shy at first. She LOVES to be brushed!!!!
