We had an incredible time kicking off Nursing Home Week with our wonderful residents and staff participating in a heartwarming balloon release. 🎈

Each balloon carried a special message, asking whoever finds it to let us know where it was discovered. We're excited to share with our residents and staff just how far our balloons have traveled! 🌍

Thank you to everyone who participated—you show us the true meaning of friendship and remind us why we are the Friendliest Place On Earth! 💖

UPDATE: Our first balloon was FOUND in La Rue, Ohio! Over 90 miles from where it was released! What a way to finish the kick off to National Nursing Home Week.

🏥 The Admissions Department is in charge of the admitting residents and patients into the nursing home. This often includes working directly with residents and their families by providing tours and information about our facility. They also work with hospital social worker and discharge planers ensuring that the residents and patients have a safe transition to our facility.

🏡 Amber Bey is our Admissions Director. She loves working with our residents and families and making positive difference in their lives. Because of Amber’s dedication and commitment, our residents and families are getting the care they need to return to their lives and homes healthy and happy.

Meet Kenny, who faced a challenging journey after a fall resulting in increased low back pain. Despite initial therapy without improvement, Kenny underwent an L3-L5 spinal fusion. Thanks to our dedicated therapy team at Friendship Village and Ovation Rehabilitation Services, Kenny achieved remarkable progress. He's now discharged home, confidently walking 150 feet independently and managing daily activities with ease. 💪

Friendship Village Department Highlights: Grounds Maintenance 🌿🔧

🪛 The Grounds Maintenance team is responsible for fixing and maintaining the equipment, buildings, and grounds at Friendship Village. They inspect and repair nearly everything in our buildings, from squeaky doors and working call lights to facility sprinkler systems.

Congratulations to our amazing Employees of the Month - Tina Neal and LaQuana "Q" Wilson!

Tina is the AL/IL Housekeeping Supervisor who has been part of the FV family for 9 years. Her favorite part of the job is interacting with residents who she considers her extended family. When not working, this mom of 3 and grandma of 6 loves being outdoors - camping, hiking, fishing and going to amusement parks. She also enjoys photography.

Laquana (Q) is the newly promoted Health Center Dietary Supervisor who joined us in May 2021. This people-person loves getting to know residents and staff. In her free time, you'll find Q reading, cooking new recipes, surfing the internet or spending quality time with her family.
