New Leash On Life Rescue would love to help a little feline mama that took shelter in a local barn to have a litter of kittens. It’s not a small cost to make sure all of the kittens and their mother are spayed and neutered but with your help we can prevent this litter from continuing to populate. We can’t take on the expense without donations first. If you’d like to help us get them scheduled please considering donating, PayPal link will be posted as well as Venmo. This little family appreciates you very much! The kittens are 8wks old. 2 girls and 4 boys 🐱

💜Stevie the Main Coon💜
This little sweetie, found as a stray in Troy doesn’t have to worry about being a mom ever again. She’s been spayed, given all vaccines to protect her for a year, blood test prior to vaccination, microchipped and protected against fleas/ticks.
The rescue can’t offer assistance without donations and this little girl has been waiting in line for her turn to come around. We have a few other cats and dogs needing help but we are very low on funds and need to pay current bills first. If you’d like to donate to help our mission we would love that so we can continue to be an asset for the pets in need from Lincoln County!

New Leash On Life Rescue had the pleasure of helping a stray from Troy MO with his vetting needs today. After EVERY attempt possible was exhausted to find his owner we must move forward to secure his future. The amazing family who stepped up to keep him safe and off the streets fell in love with the lost boy immediately. When they moved into their new home, the kids said “since we have a fence, can we have a dog” God sent this sweet family the best little dog for their fenced yard and they named him Peter Pan, because he was lost. He hit the jackpot, adoption paperwork completed today! We love helping the pets of Lincoln County, Peter Pan is a Troy city boy now. He’s going to have a great life!

💋HELP KISSES FIGHT MAST CELL CANCER💋

A sweet friend gave this quilt to me several years ago to raffle off for the rescue. I have waited for the right time to do this, I feel that time is now. Since Kisses is an American Bully and the quilt is covered with her breed of friends, it only seems appropriate. The quilt is brand new.
❤️Kisses has mast cell cancer and one tumor that was removed came back a grade 3, high grade cutaneous mast cell tumor. This mass can grow rapidly.
❤️Kisses saw the oncologist, has had blood work and urinalysis done. She has also had several surgeries over the last 3yrs to remove these ugly creatures.
❤️After she had her sutures removed two weeks post surgery I noticed an enlarged lymph node. The lymph node was tested and mast cells are present.
❤️I need to raise some funds to help cover the cost we have already incurred and future costs she will have. I will do everything I can to help give this happy girl the life she deserves without watching her become more sick in the process.

This beautiful quilt is 8ft x 6ft 5in

💰Tickets are 5 for $10 or 15 for $20

🙏If you’d like to help me with Kisses, she and I would be so appreciative. This girl means the world to me.

The drawing will be on April 27th

Thank you to each and every one of you that has already donated to help her.

Prayers for Kisses, today she sees the oncologist. She’s the happiest girl and a trooper! 🙏

This boy was brought in by Troy PD @ April 6th found in Fairgrounds Park. After learning how he ended up at the park a solution was found to keep him safe in a different home. Today, New Leash On Life Rescue met Trigger at Animal Talk in Wentzville and he received rabies, distemper and bordetella plus a heartworm test that also checks for tickborne diseases. Trigger had an ear infection so he was treated for that as well. In his take home bag he was given a preventative for flea/tick and heartworms. We want Trigger to be a healthy boy, next on the list will be a neuter. The rescue is very familiar with this sweet boy, in 2021 we helped him recover from parvo and the poor little guy had even been hit by a car. His past has been rough but hopefully his future will be bright. Trigger is a good dog and has potential to be awesome. He really wants to learn how to be obedient and is very treat motivated. We want the best life for Trigger, he truly deserves it.
If you’d like to donate to help dogs like Trigger I’m adding a link below. Donations are the only way we are able to continue with our mission. 💛🖤

Hear Ye! Hear Ye!
Pajama Party, aka Jamie would like everyone to know that she has broken out of boarding! Thank you Lucky Chance Rescue for helping New Leash On Life Rescue and finding her a foster home! I know she’s going to feel so good tonight in a home with a family💛💚🖤💛

Jamie, aka Pajama Party at camp is still hoping to find an immediate foster home or the family who’d like to provide her a forever home. She is currently in boarding and the cost is adding up everyday. This is a cost the rescue doesn’t really have funds to cover. This little girl had the perfect home with a man and a little girl that loved her so much. The owner was diagnosed with ALS and isn’t able to care for Jamie any longer. Please pray for Jamie and her prior family. This little perfect pup needs another family to love her.
Please share.

This morning New Leash On Life Rescue treated Whisper the little long haired mini Dachshund to a vet appt for heartworm test + vaccines. Whisper and her mom stepped up to foster Freya, the little babe from the Troy pound. We believe in helping out when we can, without fosters willing to open up their home rescues can’t help cats and dogs in need. Whisper is an only child and has been doing great with Freya. They share toys and Whisper introduced Freya to greenies! After we left the vet the girls picked out a few things from Pets Mart. Afterall, tomorrow is Valentines Day and girls love gifts!! Thank you to everyone who donates to our rescue, without you we can’t lend a helping hand.

She weighs 15lbs and is full grown. She is good with cats, little dogs and loves kids of all ages. Lucky Chance Rescue has offered to help us in finding this little beauty a forever home. Her name is Freya Ann and if you think she would be a nice addition to your family the application link can be found in the post below. I know if I could adopt her I sure would, she is the sweetest girl!!

Before I founded a non profit 501(c)(3) animal rescue that’s licensed in MO, among other ways to help pet owners in need I started a group called Castles 4 Canines. My mission was to try and provide shelter to pets without a choice of having to live outside. Providing shelter to protect animals from the elements isn’t a need that has been forgotten about. Today, these two pups will be getting a house to seek shelter in. Try to help others in need, sometimes pet owners for what ever the reason is can’t allow their pets indoors. It’s not for us to judge, but to lend a helpful hand for the sake of the pet. The pet owner is a girl that I have extended help to for several years. She loves these dogs and no matter how the cards are dealt to her, she will do everything she can to make sure these pups are cared for. If you would like to donate to help me provide her with more cedar shavings and possibly a few bags of dog food I’ll post the link for donations. She came and picked up the houses plus one bag of cedar shavings I had on hand. It was for Nutmeg my duck, but someone else needed it more. 💛🖤

While we don’t keep track of how much dog and cat food we donate to people in the Lincoln County community, what we do know is we try to keep their tummy full. Thank you to our amazing partners that always help keep our shelves stocked. 2023 has been a great year for helping out those who not only bark, but meow too!! Curbside pick up happens almost weekly and it makes our hearts full. Sometimes we are low on food but if we have it, so will you. Happy New Years Eve to a little four legged family in need today. Sharing is caring

I can’t say thank you enough to all the people who nominated me for volunteer in the Lincoln County People’s Choice Awards ‘23. The votes are in and I am very humbled to learn that I was chosen. Helping the city of Troy with the dogs at their pound as well as being able to assist the pet owners in my community is something that I hold dear to my heart. Thank you again for showing me that you believe in me!

Please say a little prayer for Kisses. When New Leash On Life Rescue pulled her from the city of Troy pound we learned that the small tumor on her back right leg was a mast cell tumor, it was removed in Feb of 2022. Fast forward to the present, mast cell most likely came back and I called yesterday to schedule the removal, this morning one of them started to bleed.
Kisses belongs to the rescue, no one really wants to adopt a dog that doesn’t have a clean bill of health at the beginning, so I have been and will always be her forever foster and caregiver. Kisses is asking for donations to help with the cost of her surgery. If you could find it in your heart to give, every dollar will help this sweet and always happy girl! I just want her back home, it’s lonely without her. 🙏

⭐️⭐️⭐️HAPPY FRIDAY⭐️⭐️⭐️
It’s a Rocky and Alfie photo dump!

I want to brag on my city of Troy boys, Alfie and Rocky. I 🖤💛 these little guys! It warms our heart at New Leash On Life Rescue when we can extend the offer to help a pet owner receive the vetting their pets are in need of. In the past these boys have found theirselves posted on a local lost and found animal group looking for their owner due to escaping their yard, sometimes that could be their hormones at work. We are happy to announce that this little father/son duo completed their vetting and are fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. Hopefully soon they won’t have the desire to sniff out a female in heat and if they do, they’re now microchipped so bringing love back home should be quick and easy. Not only did we help the boys, but their pet owner has a one year head start to prepare for their annual vet appt. We introduced them to an amazing vet and clinic that can help them with all their veterinary needs in the future. Our goal is to keep pets with their owner, make an attempt to control the pet population and eliminate a little stress off of someone’s plate. Rocky and Alfie would love it if you’d like to donate so the rescue can continue helping pets like them receive the veterinary care all dogs and cats need to keep them healthy! 💛🖤

Here is a happy story for your hump day!

This super cute boy ended up at the Troy pound and his owner was looked for every single day. He is such an amazing boy and we go over and above to try to locate every dogs owner. There was a couple who had a strong interest in adopting him, but in person he was just a little too big for them. The wife wanted to name him chocolate chip and Chip for short, the name has stuck.
Fast forward to the present. Chip has been vaccinated, heartworm and tickborne disease tested, he was previously neutered, he has been groomed and he looks phenomenal! Chip was very matted, he had to lose a lot of his coat due to the condition it was in. One thing for sure about this breed, their fur coats are high maintenance to keep them in tip top shape.
New Leash On Life Rescue helped Chip enter into his next chapter in life by providing his vetting, grooming and two night hotel stay. If you would like to help us replenish some of the expenses for Chip we would be forever grateful, donations are the force that keep us going.
Since the mission of our rescue is to assist pet owners with the needs of their pets when faced with unforeseen circumstances, we aren’t a rescue that has a need for fosters. With that being said we look to other rescues to help us in finding a foster and forever home for dogs whose owners aren’t located that come from the city pound.
We are so grateful that Lucky Chance Rescue stepped up to help us out with Chip. They will take over the process of finding him a forever home. If you’d like to apply to adopt Chip, reach out to
Lucky Chance Rescue and they can assist you with that request. Thank you for reading his story and who couldn’t benefit from a chocolate chip in their life!!
If you’d like to donate towards Chips expenses we are providing our PayPal link.

Love is…the one life we have and the one chance to make it count for something.
Today was for two boys named Rocky and Alfie. These darling fellas received their vaccines, they were heartworm and tickborne disease tested and educated on how important parasite prevention is essential for not only dogs, but cats too. They took home a Bravecto to protect against fleas/ticks for three months and a one month sentinel for heartworm prevention.
This was just the start in the right direction. Their appt was made to get them neutered, microchipped and vaccines boostered.
We can’t forget that it’s also important to comply with the animal ordinance where you live if there is one. This little duo has forms for their city tag and proof of vaccines has already been emailed. It was a pleasure to help these boys and their owner today. Thank you to everyone who donates to New Leash On Life Rescue and supports our mission. We couldn’t do it without you! 💛🖤

‼️‼️PLEASE HELP ‼️‼️

This sweet girl is at the Troy pound. Her stray hold has expired and she is now property of the city.
She will only be released to a licensed rescue organization.
This facility doesn’t temperament test or provide vetting.
She is spayed.
She isn’t reactive to the male dog that is kenneled next to her.
She is begging for someone to take a chance on her, she just wants to be loved instead of discarded.
She does have some skin issues but I have been told she had flea issues in the recent past.
My guess is that she weighs about 38-40lbs
A family friend says she is 6

Lil Buddy did great at his vet appt. His vaccines were given and he took home a Bravecto for cats to make sure the little parasites are kept at bay. Buddy also was given a new carrier for safe travels, lots of soft food, a cat tunnel and toys. Yesterday was all about this sweet boy and we couldn’t be happier to help him out. Your donations make it possible for us to assist cats and dogs with their veterinary needs. Lil Buddy says thank you! I told him not to look at the scale, he’s just big b***d 😂

Today, New Leash On Life Rescue accompanied three sweet dogs today to their vet appointment.
Railroad, now known as Malice was found as a stray with his brother in Moscow Mills. A foster provided a safe place for him to stay while a post was created with hope to find his owner. Unfortunately, no owner came forward and Malice is now living the good life with his new mom. Don’t worry, his brother found an amazing home as well.
Malice received the beginning rounds of his vaccines, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives and future appts scheduled to finish up his vaccines. Malice is the sweetest boy!
Fat Boy, an English Bulldog and his sister Reese a super cute mix breed needed some help with controlling and preventing fleas and ticks. This can be very overwhelming for a pet owner, not knowing where to begin or the best method of treatment. While they were both at the vet it was a good time to have a heartworm test as well.
They took home an oral flea/tick preventative and shampoo for Reese, the little hitchhikers caused some irritation to her skin we are hoping to reverse. Reese wasn’t a happy camper at the vets office so I didn’t get a photo. Fat Boy was super chill and did great for the vet and camera.
The rescue enjoys helping these pet owners get headed in the right direction. We are willing to do whatever is necessary when funds are available to keep a pet healthy and with their owner. When you lend a helping hand you can make a difference. 💛🖤

New Leash On Life Rescue helps pet owners with the needs of their pets. Food, vetting, collars, leashes etc.
This past month and a half has been busy and costly.
🐶Kane was in a situation where he was set to be euthanized due to his family finding a new home that wouldn’t except pets after being homeless for awhile. They tried finding a rescue and shelter to take him but they were all full.
A lady stepped up and opened her home to Kane, knowing she could only have him temporarily but didn’t want to see him put to sleep. Kane wasn’t an easy dog like she thought she was bringing home. He has serious trust issues and displayed aggressive tendencies. She has worked with him and he’s made great progress. He’s not perfect but there isn’t a perfect dog. She and her husband have decided to keep Kane, they love him and he’s now a part of the family.
New Leash On Life Rescue covered his vaccines, heartworm and tickborne disease test, neuter, microchip, flea/tick and heartworm preventative for the first month and bags of dog food.
🐶Elvis along with his mom came by and picked up 3 bags of dog food and 50 cans of cat food for his feline friends.
🐶Tucker is heartworm positive and he started his heartworm injections on June 19th, he needs a total of 3 and this treatment isn’t cheap.
🐶a family was in need of a kennel for their new puppy and they don’t get paid until the end of the month so we gave her one to keep the little girl safe.
🐶Railroad the Moscow Mills stray was given puppy food, collar and a leash to help the lady out who said she would give him a place to crash during the stray hold timeframe while the owner was looked for. No owner was found.
🐱A family who is dealing with some pretty tough times asked if we could donate some cat food for their cat because they didn’t have the money to buy any at this time. Yes, we will bring you some cat food. No cat or dog should go hungry.
🐱Church the male cat had a urinary blockage, needed emergency surgery and the owners didn’t have enough funds to pay for the entire bill. We stepped up to help them try and save Church. After going home, the next day after the first surgery to relieve the blockage, Church became blocked again. Back to the vet he went and due to the high cost of the first surgery and the owners not having enough funds they were faced with a $400 cost to place the catheter back in Church to relieve the blockage again. They were told euthanasia would be $200 or surgery for $400. They asked for our help, understanding it would be ok to say no since we still have a balance from the first time around. We said yes, let’s keep trying to save Church.
🐱we donated $50 to help a pet owner with her cats spay bill.
These are just a few of the urgent cases we have helped out with recently. Pet owners love their pets and we understand that not everyone always has the funds to cover unforeseen costs, that’s why we are here and why our rescue was founded.
We don’t do adoptions, although we can it’s just not where we choose to put our energy. Since adoptions are very few and far between we don’t have adoption fees coming in to help offset our expenses. We rely strictly on donations and without those we have to turn people away. We can’t help everyone that reaches out to us, but we sure will try if we can.
If you’d like to donate to help us with cases such as these it would be greatly appreciated. Our funds are low and our vet bill is substantial. All donations are tax deductible. 🖤💛
