Oakland Community Health Network (OCHN) recognized six (6) Achievement Award winners and six (6) Peer Award winners at the 2024 Your Voice, Your Value Conference on Thursday, August 15, 2024.

The Achievement Awards recognize the successes and accomplishments of individuals who receive public mental health services, including those with an intellectual / developmental disability, mental health challenge, or substance use disorder.

The Peer Awards celebrate the contributions made by peers to support people within the public mental health system and include peer support specialists, peer mentors, recovery coaches, youth peer supports, and parent support partners.

Oakland Community Health Network (OCHN) recognizes Mental Health Americas’ (MHA) findings on the state of Mental Health in America. MHA utilizes a national survey which seeks to provide data, track changes, document the impact of legislation, and improve dialogue, for mental illness.

Michigan ranked 11th in the nation for the lowest prevalence of mental illness, and highest rates of care. Furthermore, Michigan ranked 3rd in the nation for the least number of youths that consider su***de. Read more: https://conta.cc/4fKDJkQ
