Mrs. Buck's 1st Grade
Home of the best first grade students around!
Schools have been able to offer free meals to all students for the last two school years. This Federal program has come to an end. However, your child may still qualify for free or reduced meals. You can find the forms to apply at https://www.troy.k12.mo.us/domain/274.
This year, the District is using ParentSquare for all of our communications! Download the ParentSquare app from Google Play or the Apple App Store. You can also register at www.parentsquare.com.
Once registered, you can set your delivery and language preferences, sync your calendars, and so much more!
Health information is part of the back to school forms. Make sure these are complete for all of your children!
You can find information on required vaccinations at https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/parents/index.html.
Find start and dismissal times for all buildings on the District website, https://www.troy.k12.mo.us/domain/47. Discuss with your child what your family will do for dismissal each day.
Don't forget, Wednesdays are always early release!
Handbooks are included in the back to school forms and can be found on the District's website. These documents have a lot of great information to keep you informed on the practices and procedures of our buildings. Take a few minutes to read through and reach out to your child's building with questions.
This will likely be my final post here as we are switching to ParentSquare for all communication, but I just had to share how amazing our community is!
Mountain Top Motor Company has so generously blessed our classroom over the last couple weeks I am just blown away! They have been working to clear many of Troy’s teacher wishlists! If you have the chance be sure to thank them for blessing our classroom and SO many others throughout our district! ♥️ !

Open houses for all LCR3 schools start next Tuesday. Check out the full schedule at https://www.troy.k12.mo.us/site/default.aspx?PageType=3&DomainID=4&ModuleInstanceID=4406&ViewID=6446EE88-D30C-497E-9316-3F8874B3E108&RenderLoc=0&FlexDataID=27954&PageID=1.
LCR3 students will be back in session in 10 days! Start getting your internal clocks ready by adjusting evening and morning routines over the next several days.
It is also a good time to start thinking about how your morning or afternoon commute might be impacted by additional cars and buses on the roads.
The USDA is no longer funding free lunches for students. Regardless of whether you think you will qualify, PLEASE fill out the FREE and REDUCED lunch form in your Back to School paperwork.
Please note that we NO longer have free lunches for the whole school. PLEASE remember to fill out your FREE and REDUCED lunch forms in your "Back to School" paperwork packet. (Even if you don't think you'll qualify it's good to fill out. Every little bit helps.)
If you have an incoming Kindergartener please make sure you get them registered!! You can go online to our district web page at www.troy.k12.mo.us, then families, then register to get started!
