Kristen is an amazing local artist, business-owner, and friend who we are so stoked to collaborate with!

It is safe to say you will find artist Kristen Mode embracing all the positives that Polk County has to offer no matter what day of the week is it. Whether covered in paint and dirt at her home studio in Saluda, or wandering the creek beds with her horses and dogs. The inspiration and style from this young artist come from her deep connection with the Appalachian Mountains and the healing energy they provide. From the river’s music, the warm sun embrace, bird chatter, the new growth of spring or the last frost of winter, it all resonates within her work. Originally from the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania, Kristen has always found solace in nature, and home within the mountains. Much like visions of a kaleidoscope intertwining abstract thought, over saturated colors and a few real-world problems, her desire is to instill the viewers with a sense of responsibility towards the ever-evolving ecological challenges we are facing. To create a positive difference with her art every day, no matter how big or small we are all in this together. The vibrance of mother nature and love for all beings is felt within every brushstroke, being the voice of the voiceless with the power of paint.
