EngageVR offers residents the opportunity to immerse themselves in exciting experiences and adventures, such as swimming with dolphins, experiencing the Apollo 11 moon landing, revisiting their childhood home, or embarking on an African safari. Did you know that spending time with therapy dogs can reduce stress, anxiety, and even lower blood pressure? These furry friends provide comfort and love, making them the perfect companions. Last week, we met The Good Dog Foundation's newest team, Joel and Barkley. Needless to say, we all fell in love. Thank you The Good Dog Foundation for introducing us to this show stopper.

Last week, we took a stroll down memory lane and had hot dogs and milkshakes at Westchester’s famous hot dog stand, Walter’s. Walter's Hot Dog Stand is a registered historical landmark that has been serving our community since 1919. While eating, one resident said, “I remember waiting on that exact line with my baseball team after every game. It was the best.” Thank you Walter’s, for making our residents' day so special.

On Monday, April 8th we witnessed a celestial sensation like never before! We watched the moon pass in front of the sun, creating a remarkable sight in the sky. Although the suburbs of New York City didn’t see the full eclipse, it was still an unforgettable experience.
Last week, we got up close and personal with some of the coolest creatures on the planet at the Greenburgh Nature Center. They have a variety of amazing animals for people of all ages to marvel at. Thank you for treating us like family. We had a spectacular time and can't wait to come back.
Last month, we stepped back in time to the glamour and extravagance of the Roaring Twenties at our Great Gatsby Party. We danced the night away in our best flapper attire, sipped on champagne, and enjoyed a night filled with glitz and glam.
RiverVue painted the town green all month long with fun filled Saint Patrick's Day festivities beginning with traditional Irish music and dancing, delicious food, local Irish step dancing competitions and of course, plenty of Guinness and Bailey's!
Have you heard about the amazing benefits of intergenerational programming? Connecting different generations through activities and events creates a sense of community, sharing knowledge and experiences. Last week, Eastchester Community Action Program spent the afternoon with our residents in The Gardens and it was a magical experience between two very different generations. Thank you, boys and girls for making our residents feel so loved.

Who says you can't have fun during a snowstorm? Our residents at RiverVue were embracing the winter wonderland outside and letting their inner kid come out to play! We certainly weren’t going to let a little cold weather dampen our spirits.
Last October, we participated in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s, the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research. Residents, associates, and family members came together to support a cause that is close to our hearts. We are beyond grateful for all of your support – but most importantly, we would like to thank our social worker, Arielle Miras who recently received an award for being the #2 fundraiser in the entire country. Arielle, along with our incredible team raised just under $2,500. Thank you to all who helped make this possible.

Rainy days are just a canvas waiting for a splash of color - and what better palette to choose from than the treasures inside the Bruce Museum. Thanks to their wonderful staff, we were able to get up close and personal with timeless art, ancient relics, vibrant colors and fascinating exhibits.
From pulling seemingly endless scarves from thin air to defying the very laws of physics, famous magician Harry Hocus took us on a wild ride through the impossible and made believers out of us all! Thank you for reminding us that magic really does exist.
