Dove of Peace marks one year of the Coronavirus pandemic in a virtual concert this Sunday, March 14.

The program evokes contemplative and melancholy feelings, representing all that has been lost in the pandemic, leading to music that strikes more hopeful and even triumphal tones as we look forward to life beyond the pandemic.

Works performed include those by Bach, Telemann, Prokofiev, Hindemith, Glazunov, Arnold and others, performed by two Tucson favorites in cellist Anne Gratz and violinist Joseph Rousos Hammond, and a Tucson-newcomer, hornist and University of Arizona DMA student Michael Mesner.

The concert can be accessed at no cost, starting at 2:00pm Tucson time on March 14:

Viewers are encouraged to make a gift in support of the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona, which has experienced a dramatic increase in need for their services during the pandemic.
