Documentary Spotlight: ASK THE SAND directed by Vittorio Bongiorno, is the journey of a father and a son as they travel to the utopian city of Arcosanti, the city of the future that was built in 1970 in the desert by the Italian architect Paolo Soleri (1919- 2013), a student of Frank Lloyd Wright. Accompanied by the soundtrack of Tucson luminaries Calexico, Naim Amor & John Convertino and Joachim Cooder.

Documentary Spotlight: Join or Die is a film about why you should join a club—and why the fate of America depends on it. Produced/directed by sibling duo Rebecca Davis and Pete Davis, the documentary follows the half-century story of America's civic unraveling through the journey of legendary social scientist Robert Putnam, whose groundbreaking "Bowling Alone" research into the US decline in community connections could hold the answers to our democracy's present crisis.
