Thus ends a grand career playing many versatile characters across several diverse genres for decades. Rest In Peace and thank you for the memories !

He changed everything. He influenced so many up and coming future great young minds. His name is synonymous with a unique style of filmmaking that resonated far and wide unlike any method before it and baffled the big studios that didn't know the first thing about financial constraints. No matter the budget, he could turn anything and everything into cinema magic and left a lasting impression on the entire industry worldwide for decades and his legacy will indeed live on forever. Rest In Peace !

Born into Hollywood royalty, she maintained a low profile outside of her film roles and was never big into gatherings such as conventions or really doing fan service with many interviews or appearing on extras for physical media releases like many of her peers did. Nevertheless, Tisa Farrow worked with some of the most legendary names in horror, schlock, giallo, and exploitation from Lucio Fulci to Joe D'Amato and also Hollywood giants such as Woody Allen while being a highly-revered icon for several decades. Her recent unexpected and peaceful passing is a tremendous loss to world cinema of various budgets and quality measures and her modesty for being forever in the shadow of her sister Mia is certainly something commendable!

Rest In Peace and "fangs" for the memories!

50 years ago on this date, a film was released that changed everything about cinema. Perhaps considered tame by today's standards, a young and audacious Wiliam Friedkin took William Peter's Blatty's controversial novel and followed up The Friench Connection with something that shocked audiences worldwide and arguably gave birth to The Satanic Panic for years to still come in the decade when mainstram cinema reached the peak of nihilism. Spawning several dubious sequels and even easily forgotten prequels and also innumerable worldwide ripoffs along with spoofs, its impact a half a century later is unquestionable (for at the the time who could even fathom a child acting in that manner on the screen?) and everything from the performances to the cinematography to the sountrack that at times took liberties with Mike Oldfield's "Tubular Bells" are indeed as apex level as it gets!

Today marks The 40th Anniversary of The Day After airing on ABC back when made for TV movies were truly something monumental. Perhaps this one resonated harder with the populace more than any other that came before it and it's lessons still carry profound meaning especially today.

An icon and pioneer for women in eccentic roles has sadly left us. Thank you for all of the brilliant performaces over the decades in both film and television. Rest In Peace !

The final day of AZUFF 2023 is as jam packed as ever! At 2pm indugle yourselves in a short films block entitled "One Last Celluloid Breakdown" and enjoy six films for the price of one ticket! Then at 4pm check out the Israeli dramatic feature Woman Alive and at 6pn our final film is the splatterfest Scalper: Night Caller 2. But that's not all! Enjoy a live DJ event with Desert Drone showcasing drone, ambient, and atmosphere music to transcend to at 8:30pm-late for just $10. This is sure to be a night to end AZUFF in some serious style so don't miss out and be sure to follow !

At 6pm check out the shorts block "Experimenting Without Limits" where you can indulge seven short films for the price of one ticket and then at 9pm four killer underground extreme music acts take our stage for $10 (free for festival pass holders).
