THIS AUDI ROCKS! — A customer came to us with a new-to-him 2018 Audi RS3, wanting to add some great sound. We helped him pick out a killer system to get his car jamming! We started with a DSP interface to get the cleanest signal from his radio, then hooked him up with JL Audio C3650 door speakers all the way around. Then we used sound dampening in all doors and the trunk to eliminate any rattle. This allowed our system to give him the best possible sound. For the amplifier, we went with the Helix vtwelvedspmk2. CUSTOMER’S CHOICE – The owner of a 2021 Challenger came to us because he needed to reinforce the security system. We explained the advantages of options such as a T-harness available for Viper and CompuStar systems, but this particular owner had the Viper 5305V on a different vehicle and liked the features. He wanted us to integrate the same system into his Challenger, and that’s what we did with the help of a Viper DB3 for data integration. Everything worked perfectly and he can still use his OEM key fob to control his Viper security system. He likes the two-way pager, and doesn’t mind carrying the two remotes. NEW-TRUCK FEELING – The owner of a 2017 F150 came to us saying he wanted that new truck feeling without having to buy a new truck. BIGGER BASS – What do you do if you have the owner of a 2016 and newer Ford crew cab truck who wants more bass? That was the request recently from a truck owner. We thought, well, you can put two subs under the seat. But this owner had heard those and wanted more! The solution was a box that could house a full-size 10- or 12-inch woofer. In this application we chose a JL Audio W6-12 powered by a JL Audio XDM600/1. The amps are on a custom board that mounts behind the back seat on the brackets. This allows us to mount all sizes of amps without putting holes in the back wall of the truck. The owner loved the addition of bass and the new sound frequencies being hit by the JL woofer. AUDIO EVERYWHERE —This big RV needed a sound overhaul so our experienced team put together a killer audio package for the owner. We replaced the old radio with a new and improved Alpine ILXF-511, giving the owner great audio control, a big screen and wireless CarPlay. For sound, we added two pairs of Kappa Perfect 600 speakers powered by a JL Audio XDM600/6, six-channel amp. The owner of a 2006 Chevy Silverado came into our North Tucson location wanting us to install some LED light bars he had acquired. We’re always happy to perform this kind of service for our customers, During the installation, we noticed he had a great sounding system but didn't have a subwoofer and was lacking on the bass end. In total agreement, the truck owner also felt his car audio system was missing something.
