It’s time to unplug and unwind for Global Unplugging Day & Tulsa Drillers is knocking it out of the park with a stroll in the stadium!

⚾️: Tulsa Drillers will open the gates of ONEOK Field from 11am-2pm today in hopes of helping make screen-free memories!

🛝: The Driller’s season doesn’t start until April 9th, but ONEOK Field’s playground will be open today & is cell phone free!

🛒: The Oklahoma Senate passed a bill on Thursday to eliminate the state’s grocery tax. It’s now going to Governor Stitt’s desk.

💵: “Today, we get to fulfill a promise to all four million Oklahomans and pass the largest single year tax cut in Oklahoma history. Cutting the grocery tax means relief for all Oklahomans.” - Governor Stitt

A $100M investment is going into Muskogee, bringing dozens of tech jobs to the area.

🔌: A 200-megawatt data center is being built in the John T. Griffin Industrial Park in Muskogee. The data center, built by Polaris Technology, is mostly made up of containers that house super-computers that solve complex puzzles to mine bitcoin.

🔋: Muskogee mayor Marlon Coleman said, “Polaris Technologies’ investment aligns with our vision to become a hub for high-tech, living wage jobs.”

8 dancers from Tulsa Dance Company represented Tulsa in the Youth America Grand Prix!

🩰: These ballerinas just returned from round 2 of the Grand Prix in Kansas City! The YAGP is a nonprofit international youth ballet and contemporary dance competition and scholarship program. In 25 years of operation, it has reached more than 200,000 dancers and raised more than $5M in scholarships!

👯‍♀️: Tulsa Dance Company’s mission is to instill a love of dance, music, and the appreciation of the performing arts in its students fun, uplifting, and positive environment!

The Tulsa Irish Festival is happening March 8-10th! It’ll be packed with family fun and a rich tapestry of Irish music, culture, food and dance!

🇮🇪: The festival organizers are cutting no corners with the event that was born on St. Patrick’s day 2017. Picture an authentic Irish experience!

Oklahoman Zach Bryan took home his first Grammy this Sunday for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for his song with Kacey Musgraves - “I Remember Everything”!

🏆: Bryan beat out his fellow nominees Jelly Roll, Vince Gill, Carly Pearce, Brothers Osborne, and Dierks Bentley.

There’s a new-ish restaurant in The Heights neighborhood and it offers a full spectrum of sun powered nourishment!

👩🏽‍🌾: Prism Cafe is a quaint restaurant that serves up brunch, lunch, and dinner with hyper-local garden-sourced food and natural wine! They also have a little area to shop apothecary goods while you are there.

👩🏼‍🍳: Chef Aimee Huntwr has been a personal chef for 14 years. She’s cooked everywhere from NYC to Maine and was thrilled to open this new spot in Tulsa! She specializes in sandwiches- we recommend the melted brie apple or the brisket!

NOMA “North of Market” is a new mixed development expected to kick up even more activity along Route 66!

🏡: NOMA will bring 256 apartments, retail and restaurant space, and a community gathering area to the old Tulsa Welding School site, right across from Mother Road Market!

🚧: The project will be built by ITULSA and pre-leasing is already underway and expected to open soon!

Noise Town Tulsa is celebrating their first year of business!

🎧: What started as a space for musicians to rehearse and private instruction for students had developed into spaces for recording studios and a performance venue!

🎸: To celebrate, Noise Town is hosting a free workshop for beginner guitar players! This workshop teaches how to clean and maintain, re-string, tune, and stretch guitars!

Locketts Light it Foundation will complete its $650K Tulsa Public Schools job shadowing program in the 2024/25 school year. It sends 12 students from 6 high schools to Seattle giving them job shadowing opportunities and scholarships.

Lockett’s Light It Up Foundation chooses students based on their participation in essays. The 5 year program allows 60 students to be exposed to different professions receive a scholarship ranging from $5K to $10K to start college.
